Kenneth Doyle Jolliff

Kenneth (Doyle) Jolliff, 82, was born October 27, 1933, to Kenneth and Anna Jolliff in Caballo, NM. He passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on Friday, September 16, 2016. Doyle was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alena Jolliff; parents: Kenneth and Anna Jolliff; brothers: Eddy Paul and Herman Jolliff; and sister, Ellen Moncher. He is survived by his loving children Phyllis Y. Jolliff of Roswell; David Jolliff and wife Phyllis D. of California; Jim Jolliff and wife Tammy of Roswell, and Steve Jolliff and wife Sue of Arizona; Grandchildren: Kerstin and Jason Velho of California, Wes and Jackie Jolliff, stationed in Japan, Andrew Jolliff of Roswell, currently deployed to Kuwait, Kenny Jolliff of Roswell, Stephen Jolliff of Roswell, and Kailey Dougherty of Arizona. Great-Grandchildren Amery and Liam Velho of California, and numerous nieces and nephews. Doyle was one of the most patient, loving and kind individuals anyone could have had the privilege to know. He was a man of faith who lived to serve God and his family well. He was a very hard working man who served 4 years in the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. While stationed at Holloman AFB in Alamogordo NM he met his life long friends Johnny and Joe Robinson who introduced him to the love of his life, Alena Robinson. They were married April 30, 1961 and lived in CA where he was a machinist for the US Navy and also served in the Air National Guard for 20 years. A man of many talents, he liked working with his hands and would tinker in woodworking. His tinkering turned into a full on passion, leading him to teach woodworking to home schooled children at his home in CA. They spent most of their lives in California before moving back to NM 15 years ago. Doyle lost his love Alena almost three years to the day of his passing. He was a loving father and grandfather and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 10:00 AM at Midway Assembly of God. Officiating will be Pastor Danny Sons and his son David Jolliff.
