Adelia "Dee" Gonzales April 6, 1937 - December 5, 2024 It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our mother, Adelia "Dee" Gonzales age 87. Services for Adelia "Dee" Gonzales will be on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ's Church, 2200 N. Sycamore, Roswell, New Mexico. Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery, 3101 S. Main St. Roswell, New Mexico. Adelia Gonzales was born on April 6, 1937, to Serafin Pacheco and Antonia Guevara Pacheco in Roswell, New Mexico. Adelia married Mike Gonzales, and they were married for 45 years and together they had 5 children. Adelia is survived by her daughters: Shirley Olivas (husband Javier), and Janette Gonzales; sons: Mike Gonzales (wife Alicia), LeRoy Gonzales (wife Katherine), and Daniel Gonzales (wife Cyndy); two special adopted children: daughter, Eva Ontiveros Sumner (husband Harvey); son, Alvin Macks (wife Brenda); and mom to so many of her children's friends; grandchildren: Chris Olivas (wife Blair), Luke Olivas, Jeremy Gonzales (wife Jessica), Eric Gonzales, Charlotte Gonzales, LJ Gonzales (wife Loraine), Alex Gonzales, Kylie Gonzales, Alexis Gonzales, Gerard Gonzales, Rael Gonzales, Zeke Gonzales, William "Will" Ontiveros, Dominic Macks, Mariah Macks and Jazzy Macks; great grandchildren: Bailey Olivas, Nani Deleon, Mila Gonzales, Kiana Gonzales, Kaden Gonzales, Kylia Gonzales, Kaelani Valderaz, Kiara Gonzales, Adrian Gonzales and Baby J. Gonzales; and only living sister, Mary Pacheco McIntyre of Anaheim, California. Adelia was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Gonzales; parents: Serafin and Antonia Pacheco; seven brothers: Sammy Pacheco, Ernie Pacheco, Daniel Pacheco, Alex Pacheco, Willie Pacheco, Johnny Pacheco and Israel Pacheco; four sisters: Minnie Pacheco Arredondo, Lupita Pacheco Duran, Emma Pacheco Bell, and Nora Pacheco Garcia; and great grandson, Mateo"Te" Gonzales. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are her grandsons: Chris Olivas, Luke Olivas, Jeremy Gonzales, Eric Gonzales, L.J. Gonzales, Alex Gonzales, Gerard Gonzales and Zeke Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers are her son-in-law, Javier Olivas; sons, Mike Gonzales, LeRoy Gonzales, Daniel "Buck" Gonzales and Alvin Macks; granddaughters: Alexis Gonzales, Rael Gonzales, Charlotte Gonzales and Kylie Gonzales. Our mom was one of the most humble and kind individuals you would have ever known. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She taught us all about God, respect, to have compassion and to love. She loved all her nieces and nephews very much and they loved her. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. We would like to thank Pastor Gerry Chavez for the use of Christ's Church for our mother's services; Pastor Catarino Cedillo and his wife Sylvia for making the special trip from San Antonio, Texas to do our mother's services; Pastor Cedillo who was my mother's pastor when she attended Spanish Church of God in Roswell. Even when they moved to Texas, he still remained her special pastor. They had a very special place in my mother’s heart. She loved them very much and they will always be family to us; Dr. Richard Pinon Jr. MD and all his staff for all the wonderful care they showed mother; Dr. Pinon, for always being there for our mother, Gentiva Hospice for all they did for our mother; Chelsea, Roberta, Takesia, Mandy, Melissa, Ali and Pastor Ed for being so good with my mom and for all your beautiful prayers and beautiful music. The Broken Chain We little knew that morning that GOD was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day GOD called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as GOD calls us one by one, THE CHAIN will link again. Adelia's obituary was specially written by her children.
