Albino Coronado

Lovingly known as “Frog” to his friends and family A rosary will be recited for Albino A. Coronado, 69, of Roswell at 7 pm Monday, August 6, 2007, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at St. Peter’s with Father Paul Juniet O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery. Albino passed away Thursday, August 2, 2007, at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Albino was born in Fort Sumner on October 11, 1937 to Andres Garcia Coronado and Gertrudes Lopez Coronado. He served his country with the National Guard from 1956 to 1959. Albino and Floyde Aragon were married June 28, 1958 in Fort Sumner; she survives him at the family home. Albino was a catholic and a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. “Frog” retired in December 2003, from the New Mexico State Highway Department after thirty-one years of service, he worked part time for Rainbow Bread, and in the pet department at Wal-Mart. Albino was a wonderful loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Floyde, Albino is survived by his children, Gloria Coronado of Albuquerque, Rick Coronado and his wife, Pat, of Roswell and Angela Torres and her husband, Lupe, of Roswell; a sister, Molly Coronado of Clovis; grandsons, Victor Mendoza and Timothy Torres of Roswell; and Michael DeSantiago of Albuquerque, granddaughters, Stephanie DeSantiago, Jennifer Torres, and Camille Coronado, all of Roswell; great-grandsons, Christopher Torres and Xavier Gonzales; great-granddaughters, Tiffany Sisneros and Anissa Munoz; his favorite sister-in-law, Christina Portillo; nephew, Robert Torres; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Albino was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Gertrude Coronado, and a great-granddaughter, Azariah Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Victor Mendoza, Michael DeSantiago, Robert Coronado, Matthew Guajaca, Timothy Torres, Beto Portillo, Fred Trujillo, and Lupe Torres.
