Obituary for Alejandrito “Honi” Medrano Funeral services for Alejandrito “Honi” Medrano, 61, of Dexter will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ruben Rodriguez, of Church on the Move, officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery. Honi passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Honi was born on September 15, 1946 to Higinio Medrano and Serapia Madrid Medrano in Presidio, Texas. Honi was a lifelong resident of the Pecos Valley. He was a kind, loving, gentle man who enjoyed life. He adored his nieces and nephews. Honi loved the outdoors, feeding animals, playing basketball, dancing, his dog, Marimar, riding his bicycle and motorcycle, hanging out with his nephew, Javier, and going to work trucking with his brother-in-law, Fidencio Sr., and nephews, Richard, Tony, and Fidencio Jr. Honi is survived by his sisters, Lupe Molina and her husband, Aurelio, of Roswell and Ernestina Salazar and her husband, Rogelio, of Artesia; brothers, Manuel Medrano and his wife, Olga, and Ricardo Medrano and his wife, Gloria, both of Hagerman; nephews, Manuel Ramirez and his wife, Terry, of Roswell, Fidencio Ramirez Jr. and his wife, Irma, David Ramirez and his wife, Soco, both of Dexter, special buddy, Javier Ramirez and his wife, Tandi, of Ruidoso; nieces, Lupita Everett, Nena Regalado and her husband, Richard, Isela Eldred and her husband, Mark, all of Dexter; a special friend, Shannon Billington; and numerous other nieces and nephews from Texas, Arizona, Hagerman, Roswell, Dexter, Artesia, Michigan, and Indiana. Honi was preceded in death by his parents, Higinio and Serapia Medrano; brother, Higinio Medrano Jr. and his wife, Carmen, a sister, Socorro Quiroz and her husband, Rafael, four nephews, Richard, Armando, Hector, and Jose Luis Medrano, a niece, Mary Ramirez, and brother-in-law, Fidencio Ramirez. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Regalado , Steven Ramirez, Justin Ramirez, Mario Regalado, Anthony Ramirez, and Christopher Everett. Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Ramirez Jr., Michael Ramirez , Craig Everett, Davey Ramirez, Stephen Eldred, Sergio Ramirez, Nicolas Ramirez, Alejandrito Ramirez, Cristal Everett, Veronica Regalado, Angela Ramirez, Nayeli Eldred, Nichole Eldred, and Shalee Gutierrez.
