Alicia Rene Chavez

Alicia Rene Chavez was born October 31, 1984, in Phoenix, Arizona. Alicia’s grandparents (Lorenzo and Vicenta) brought her and her brother (Daniel) to Roswell in 1986, where her life really began. She was always so full of life and always ready to attack each new day’s adventure with a smile on her face and a no-quit attitude. Alicia attended Goddard High School and later graduated from University High School. After graduating, she bounced around a few different jobs but later found true meaning in life when her first son, Jeremiah, was born. Not quite complete yet, Alicia knew Jeremiah needed a lifelong companion and best friend. A year later, she welcomed her second son, Gabriel. Alicia and her two sons were a team; and they were ready to take on the world, there was nothing that could ever break the bond they shared. The love she had for her two sons was above all else which she held on to a pedestal. Alicia was ready to laugh and smile, it was Alicia’s laugh that was contagious which seemed to always make most situations easier to approach and handle. Alicia will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Alicia, I knew your day-to-day struggles, I knew your pains, were at times too much to bear. Know now that you can rest pain-free with a full heart because your memory will always live on. Know that Jeremiah and Gabriel will know you through me. Know that I have always loved you and will forever do so. Alicia you made me a big brother and that automatically came with the title of “Protector.” I Love you. -Daniel. Those left to cherish memories of Alicia are her sons: Jeremiah and Garbiel; grandmother, Vicenta Chavez; siblings: Mark and wife Joy Parra, Augustine Chavez and Veronica Dominguez, Angie and husband Ambrosio Ramirez, Lydia and husband Edgar Esparza, and Daniel Chavez and Katherine Garcia; along with numerous nieces and nephews, which all have had an impact on Alicia. Alicia is preceded in death by her grandfather, Lorenzo Chavez. A Celebration of Alicia’s life will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 10:00 AM.
