ANGIE RAMIREZ—Our beloved Angie went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, March 8, 2019, while surrounded by her loved ones at home. Angie touched many lives through her love, kindness, compassion and character. Although we feel her time with us was too short, the quality of every moment spent with her leaves her loved ones with a wealth of precious memories. Angie was born on August 7, 1957, in Roswell, NM, to Daniel and Isabel Tavarez. She graduated from Roswell High School in 1975. Angie began her college career at Eastern New Mexico University – Roswell, where she met her soul-mate Frank Ramirez. They soon married in April of 1977 in Roswell, NM. Frank and Angie were blessed with three wonderful children. She continued to pursue her studies and obtained her Master of Education Degree. Angie’s true calling was to be an educator. She worked in Administrative Services for the RISD, soon becoming a devout teacher at Missouri Avenue Elementary, with her career totaling 29 years. She loved her students and considered them as her own. Spending time with family, dancing, camping, fishing, traveling, and reading were things Angie enjoyed the most. Her love for life along with her big, beautiful smile, left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Angie will be greatly missed. Left to carry on memories of Angie include her mother, Isabel Tavarez; husband, Frank Ramirez; children: Ben Ramirez, Richard Ramirez and daughter-in-love Crystal Aguilar, Emily Granado and husband Ricky; grandchildren: Gabriel, Alyssa, Aryenna, Kiara, Dominic, Luke and Jacob; life-long friend, Martha Mulvihill Martinez; and numerous godchildren. Angie is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Tavarez; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chon and Manuela Ramirez; sister-in-law, Dotty Tavarez; and goddaughter, Adelina Tavarez. Honorary Pallbearers are Angie’s brothers and sisters: Anthony and Tammy Tavarez, Andy and Rosa Tavarez, Albert Tavarez, Alfred and Donna Tavarez, Andrea Tavarez, Adam and Adriana Tavarez, Freddy and Terry Ramirez, Marylou and Rudy Burrola, Daniel and Debbie Ramirez, Angie and Nando Herrera, Jimmy Ramirez and Joyce, Helen and Michael Matta, Chon Jr. and Georgina Ramirez, and Victor and Rebecca Ramirez. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Wenner and staff, Lovelace Regional Hospital, Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, Kindred Healthcare, family residing in Phoenix, AZ, Church on the Move, Roswell CrossFit family, Chaves County Cancer Society, Dr. Cynthia Lynch and staff at CTCA of Phoenix, Goddard Volleyball Booster Club, Carlsbad Firefighters Union, and numerous family and friends for all the contributions and continued love and support. Funeral arrangements have been made by Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM, at Church on the Move.
