Antonia M. Rodriguez

Antonia M Rodriguez aka “TONI”, passed away peacefully with her son Juan and daughter-in-law Gloria by her side on Monday, November 25, 2024, in Roswell, NM at the age of 76. A Memorial Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11 am with Ernesto Martinez officiating. She will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery following her memorial. On June 5, 1948, Toni was born to Clovis and Leticia Archuleta in Roswell, NM. She married Jose Antonio Rodriguez in 1969 in Roswell, NM. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Toni was a Head Start teacher for many years. She loved hanging out with the family and going to cookouts. Toni will be missed by all her family and friends, especially her son Juan. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Toni are her children (spouses): Juan (Gloria) Rodriguez, Vincent (Amanda) Rodriguez, Jose (Anna) Rodriguez, and Felicia (Gary) Brown; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Frank Archuleta and Danny Archuleta. Toni is preceded in death by her husband: Jose Antonio “TONY” Rodriguez, Parents: Clovis and Leticia Archuleta, Brothers: Richard Archuleta, Clovis Archuleta, Leroy Archuleta, Louie Archuleta, Michael Archuleta, Paul Archuleta, Sisters: Ramona De Los Santos, Jennie Archuleta Valadez, Maria Archuleta Romero, Anna Montez, Rosie Guevara and 2 Sister-in-laws: Patti Archuleta and Gloria Archuleta. Blessed to be chosen as Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Toni’s family wishes to extend sincere thanks to these special people who helped Juan in caring for her in last few years. Elissa (Lecha), Carlos, Claudia, Anna, Alicia (La Vecina), Tia Sandra, Aunt Mona, Lila, her friends at South Park cemetery-Ruben and Daisy, and Jammie with Hospice. COME WITH ME God saw you getting tired. And a cure was not to be. So, He put His arms around you, And whispered ‘Come with Me.’ With tearful eyes We watched you suffer, And saw you fade away, Although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove, He only takes the best. It’s lonesome here without you, We miss you more each day, Life doesn’t seem the same, Since you’ve gone away. When days are sad and lonely And everything goes wrong, We seem to hear you whisper, ‘Cheer up and carry on.’ Each time we see your picture, You seem to smile and say, ‘Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping. We’ll meet again someday.’ You never said, ‘I’m leaving’, You never said goodbye, You were gone before we knew it, And only God knew why. A million times we needed you, A million times we cried, If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still, In our hearts you hold a place, That no one could ever fill.
