Arcelia (Arellano) Rojo, 59, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in Roswell. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM, and on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, a Mass will follow the Viewing at the Ava Maria Center at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, at 2:00 PM. On May 29 of 1962 , Arcelia Rojo was born to Alberto Arellano and Carmen Amavisca Arellano in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico She attended a school Mexico Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico. Arcelia came to El Paso to work as a resident and met her husband, Gustavo then moved to Roswell NM, and became a citizen. In 1986, Gustavo and Arcelia united as husband and wife, having a simple civil wedding. She loved music, mostly cumbias & Banda. Arcelia loved dancing and spending time with her kids & grandkids, her family was her most precious jewel, they were her world. Arcelia would attend every single sport and school event for her grandkids. She was a housewife & stay at home mom, who she loved to cook & take care of her family, it was her #1 priority. Arcelia had the most beautiful soul anyone could have and would go out of her way to help someone in need. Arcelia is survived by her husband, Gustavo Rojo; three children: Jesus Alberto Arellano, Adriana Rojo, and Gustavo Rojo Jr; grandchildren: Alexis Arellano, Astazha Arellano, Jaime Julian Nevarez, Jeremiah Rojo, Arath Nevarez, Nataly Rojo; great-grandchildren: Jayden McKelvey, Zelina Arellano, Jennasis Arellano and Lilah Arellano; siblings: Alberto Arellano, Rosa Ema Arellano, Abel Arellano, Norma Arellano, Jose Arellano, Carlos Arellano, Adrian Arellano, Carmela Arellano; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding Arcelia in death were her parents: Alberto Arellano and Carmen Amavisca Arellano. Arcelia’s tribute was beautifully written in her honor by her family.
