Beatrice Medrano

Beatrice Medrano, 70, of Roswell, passed away on Thursday, November 4th in Roswell. Rosary will be at 6 pm on Thursday, November 11th, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, November 12th, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. On December 14, 1950, Beatrice was born in Roswell, NM, to Elfin and Mary Louise “Licha” Garcia. She married Richard E. Medrano on March 22, 1969, in Roswell, NM. Beatrice worked as a nursing assistant for many years at La Villa and retired. Beatrice’s favorite pastime was shopping and spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Beatrice is preceded in death by her dad, Elfin Garcia; husband, Richard Medrano; daughter, Rachel Medrano; sisters: Angie Garcia, Gloria Sedillo, Sally Barra; and brothers: Junior Garcia and Benny Garcia. Beatrice is survived by her children: Julie Medrano, Rebecca “Becky” and Alex Palomino, Rick and Leticia Medrano, Anthony Medrano and MiShae Calderon; grandsons: Richard Medrano IV, Ryan Medrano, AJ Palomino, and Jacob Palomino; granddaughters: Ricci Medrano, Jazziel Palomino; mother, Mary Louise “Licha” Garcia; sisters: Betty Gamboa, Eva Villarreal, and Esther Garcia; brother, Frankie Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her two loving pet dogs: Bella and Bailey. Pallbearers will be Anthony Medrano, Richard Medrano IV, Ryan Medrano, AJ Palomino, Jacob Palomino and Frankie Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Medrano, Alex Palomino, Ricci Medrano and Jazziel Palomino. The family of Beatrice Medrano wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Carrie Flury, PA, Fresenius Kidney Care, and Encompass Health. Don’t cry for me. I will be okay. Heaven is my home now, and this is where I’ll stay. Don’t cry for me. I’m where I belong. I want you to be happy and try to stay strong. Don’t cry for me.
