Beau Armstrong

Beau Richard Armstrong, age 17, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 2, 2025, surrounded by his family in the comfort of his own home. Beau was born on October 26, 2007, in Roseville, California to Melissa Sales and Beau Armstrong, Sr. He attended Roswell High School and was in the 11th grade. Beau was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a gift for bringing joy and happiness to others. He had an infectious laugh that could make anyone smile. He enjoyed reading and listening to Dr. Seuss books, especially Fox in Socks. His favorite movies included Wreck-It Ralph, Jurassic Park, Moana, and Encanto. When Beau got really excited, he would laugh with a loud scream that sounded like a pterodactyl. He was loved by all who met him. Beau also enjoyed playing possum and pretending to be asleep to get out of therapy sessions and taking showers. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish the memories of Beau include his parents, Melissa and Tyson Boardman; his maternal grandparents, Rudy and Cheryl Sales; his paternal grandparents, Rick and Liz Perry; his grandparents, Steven and Brenda Boardman; his great-grandparents, Grandma Maria Keyser, Great-Grandma Armstrong, Great Grandpa and Grandma Gubler, and Great-Grandma Hansen; his aunts and uncles, Dina and Raymond Keyser, Heather and T.J. Brown, Britney, Becky, and Trevor Boardman, Nicole and Eric Herring, Michael David Stoker, and Pete Sales; his great-aunt, Ursula Fontaine, and many other great-aunts and uncles in California and Arizona; his cousins, Alejandro Salmon, Destiny, Lily, Thomas, and Arthur Brown; and all his second and third cousins. The Armstrong-Sales-Boardman family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Carrie Tingley Hospital for taking care of Beau his entire life and continuing to care for the children of New Mexico. We also thank the nurses and staff at BCA Medical and Dr. Karen Carson for their dedication to Beau’s health over the years. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to UNMH, especially the PICU, for their compassionate care of Beau throughout the years. They have gone above and beyond to provide the best service possible, making UNMH feel like a second home and not just a hospital. Finally, we wish to express our appreciation to all his therapists and teachers, who have helped shape him into the fine young man he became. Their love and support brought him immeasurable joy. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on March 14, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Roswell, NM, located at 2201 W. Country Club Road Roswell, NM 88201. Beau’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
