Bill Anglin

Services for Bill Anglin, 70, of Roswell, will be held Monday, October 24, 2011 at 11 am at Grace Community Church with Pastor Rick Hale officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Roswell Veteran Honor Guard and the New Mexico National Guard. Bill Wayne Anglin of Roswell passed away Friday, October 21, 2011. Bill was born on September 15, 1941 in Las Cruces, NM to parents Henry and Dorothy (Norman) Anglin. He married Jane Nunez- Smyer on July 14, 1978 and they spent 33 wonderful years together and raised 4 children. Bill served in the Navy as a Machinist Mate in Norfolk, Virginia. After serving in the Navy, he had a variety of jobs that included working at Johnson Space Center as a Vacuum Chamber Operator, working with various electronics and communications companies where he utilized his advanced electronics training, teaching business, math, chemistry, and physics, and working at various RV Resorts in Colorado and Arizona. Bill and Jane loved to travel in their RV and met new people wherever they went. Bill obtained his Associates Degree of Applied Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell and a Bachelors of Science in Geology from New Mexico State University. He was a member of the Sheriff’s Posse, NM State Geological Society, Phi Theta Kappa Society and a member of the US Team Roping Championship. Bill loved to golf, fish, rope, shoot trap and skeet, and dance. He could fix anything and owned and operated several businesses over the years. Those left to cherish Bills memory is wife, Jane Nunez Anglin of the home; son, James Gavin Anglin of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Lisa Lee Burris of Lone Grove, OK, Paige Borlasé of Raleigh, NC, and Tori Nunez Martinez of Denver, CO; sister, Glenda Odum of Surprise, AZ; father, Henry Anglin, brother Randy and wife Jan all of Ft. Lupton, CO; mother in law, Dottie Lee of Roswell; grandchildren, Jordan Burris, Amy Burris, Jake Lujan, Zack Lujan, Tori Borlasé, Tristen Martinez, and Aiden Martinez; great grandchild, Boston Creed Burris; nieces, Kelly Jaurequi and Erin Anglin; and nephews, Lee Odum and Brad Anglin. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Joel Crosthwait, Kenneth Wilson, Kenneth Cohorn, Gary Hilton, Randy Anglin, and Skip Prichard.
