Blasa "Blacita" Sanchez Zamora

Blasa "Blacita" Sanchez Zamora passed away on December 30, 2021, in Roswell, New Mexico. There will be a visitation at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from four to seven PM. Funeral services will be held at Church on the Move on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10 A.M, with Pastor Shawn Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On May 21, 1941, Blacita was born to Savino and Blasa Sanchez SR., in Crowell, Texas. She attended Roswell High School, where she graduated. Blacita was married to Gene G Zamora and a Church On the Move member. She worked as a Deputy Treasurer for Chaves County for 24 years. Blacita loved her job and work-family, who turned into lifelong friends. She liked watching football and, of all things, golf and loved having her family around. She loved music and loved to dance; most of all she loved her God. Blacita will be missed by all her family and friends. Those left to eternally treasure her and cherish memories of Blacita are her children: Gene and wife Tracy Zamora Jr. of Midland, James Reeves of Roswell, Eric Zamora of Gallup, and Jennifer and husband Danny Salazar of Roswell; grandchildren: Bianca Maxwell, Damian Maxwell and his wife Breanna, Sabrina Maxwell, Derek Reeves, Vann and wife Brandy Reeves, Serena and husband Chris Carrillo, Janay, Xavier and wife Marissa Zamora, Jonathan Zamora, Amber, Christian, Jadie, Danille Salazar, Jessica and husband Travis Harris from Utah, Alexander Whitehead and Elizabeth French, Mackenzie Zamora, and Abigail Zamora; great-grandchildren: Jayden, Landry, Maddox, and Cali Rose Reeves, Cooper Carrillo, Teancum and Bristol Zamora, Ollie French, Gigi Ramos, Elisai and Quorra Harris, Xavier, Lililth, Godrick Maxwell; siblings: Belia Sanchez Chaparro, Savino and wife Grace Sanchez Jr., Eliver and wife Shirley Sanchez, Nina and husband Ron Johnson, Anita Vermulen, Virgina and husband Joe Sanchez McInvale. Blacita is preceded in death by her daughter, Della Reeves; Savino Sanchez Sr., Blasa Sanchez, Benita Zamora, Ynez Sanchez, Bertha Salinas, Ethan Salazar. Those blessed to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are Cristian Salazar, Lee Zamora, Shawn Zamora, Johnny Salinas, Xavier Zamora, Andrew Collier, Arron Collier, and Damian Maxwell.
