Cal Crenshaw

Funeral services for Cal C Crenshaw, 70, of Roswell will be held at 10 am, Monday, March 15, 2010 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Fuller officiating. Cal passed away Thursday, at the family home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Saturday 8 am to 5 pm and Sunday 2-6 pm at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home & Crematory. Cal was born November 6, 1939 to George Crenshaw and Margaret Downs in Cottonwood, NM. He married Carol Perry on July 9, 1965. They moved to Roswell in 1973 where Cal worked for Allen Roofing Co. until his retirement as General Superintendent in 2007, due to his illness. Cal loved NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys. (He was a Jeff Gordon fan.) Cal enjoyed trips to the Casinos with Carol and loved his children but his greatest joy was being “Paw Paw”. He is survived by his wife Carol of the family home, three daughters; Connie Cartwright of Loco Hills, NM, Teresa Frost (Darrell Cartwright)- Loco Hills, NM, Lynette Branch (Kendrick Rose)- Alamogordo, NM, one son; Gary (Trish) Crenshaw- Bossier City, LA, nineteen grandchildren; Sam Hayes-T of C, NM, Kim Hayes- Germany, Amanda Hayes-Loco Hills, NM, Jenni Hayes- Loco Hills, NM, Barney Hayes- Loco Hills, NM, Ashlee (Justin) Tucker, Cali Crenshaw, Kyle Crenshaw- Bossier City LA, Cheyenne Crenshaw- Bossier City LA, Sierra Crenshaw- Bossier City, LA, Tonya Frost-T or C, NM, Tyler Frost- T or C, NM, Tamra Frost-Loco Hill, NM, Madison Branch- Alamogordo, NM, Daniel Branch of Alamogordo, NM, Dominic Bedwell-Alamogordo, NM, Marcus Bedwell- Alamogordo, NM, Cameron Nixon-Farmington MN, Allyson Nixon- Farmington, MN, two step grandchildren; Jennifer and Chris Hoppaugh, one great grandson; Sean Tucker, one great granddaughter; Lexie, six sisters; Nita Taylor-Artesia, NM, Wanda Hopper-Roswell, Dot Parker- Prairie Grove, AR, Gwen Swan- Roswell, Sue Ferguson (Tom)- Carlsbad, NM, Francy Fields- Midland, Tx, brother; Wayne Crenshaw ( Magdalina) – Roswell, his twin brother; Hal Crenshaw (Rose)- Artesia, NM, two sisters-in-law; Barbara Little (Jim)- Mineola, TX, and Nancy Hargrove (Tom)- Cleburn, TX, two sons-in-law; Michael Branch- Phoenix, AZ and Tracy Frost- Ruidoso, NM. Cal is preceded in death by her parents; George and Margaret Crenshaw, one daughter; Missy Jo Crenshaw, one step grandson; Cody Hoppaugh, one brother; Chick Crenshaw, three brothers-in-law; Sam Hopper, Buddy Taylor, Buddy Parker, one son-in-law; Ed Cartwright, one niece Tammy Salazar, his father-in-law; Rev. W. T. Perry and his mother-in-law; Virginia Perry. Pallbearers will be Cody Allen, Manuel Anchondo, Rosendo Borunda, Manuel Cereceres, Roberto Cisneros and Octaviano Talamantes.
