Cameron Ray Luna

Cameron Ray Luna, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, and friend passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the age of 15. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:00 am at Church on the Move with interment following at South Park Cemetery. Cameron was born on September 25, 2006, to Fred and Bernadette Luna. As a young boy Cameron began playing sports, he was an all-around athlete and was good at any sport he played. He was a freshman at Roswell High School and a member of the football team. He looked forward to playing again next season. He also enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, and running track. Cameron’s smile was contagious, and his good attitude and lovable personality drew people to him. Cameron had many friends that he cared about dearly. He aspired to graduate high school and go to college at Arizona State University. Cameron is survived by his parents: Fred and Bernadette Luna; siblings: Izaiah Herrera, Roman Garcia, Nicholas Carrillo, and Joseph Carrillo; maternal grandparents: David and Theresa Fairclouth, and Lloyd Herrera; paternal grandparents: Christina and Anthony Baca; great grandparents Melo and Francis Garcia, Raymond and Alice Aragon, and Siney Herrera; aunts and uncles: Antoinette Herrera and Vestro Muratori, Steven Herrera, Cynthia Luna, Robert Luna and Cassandra and Arturo Duran; cousins Isaac, Steven, Angelo, Ilijah, Mia, Ivey, Kemery, Vicente, Robert, Sophia, and Emilia; girlfriend, Jessa Nava; close friends: Jacob aka “Pooh” Hill, Dominic Pacheco, Abey Toscano, Armando Lomeli, Frankie Anaya, Jaylon Cloud, Ricardo Villa, Kevin Luna, Jordyn Espinoza, and Julian Manzanares. His dogs Drako, Lucky, Stomper, and Scottie; and numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, and loved ones are left to cherish his memory. Cameron is preceded in death by his Great Grandparents: Vickie and Johnny Pacheco and Julio Herrera; close friend, Jorgie Armendariz, who he grew up with and sadly passed away with; and his grandfather Larry Aragon. Pallbearers will be Izaiah Herrera, Steven Herrera, Jacob “Pooh” Hill, Abey Toscano, Frankie Anaya, Armando Lomeli, Jaylon Cloud, Ricardo Villa, Dominic Pacheco, and Isaac Herrera. Honorary Pallbearers are his Roswell High School Coyote Football teammates: Michael Contreras, Javi Luna, Lucas Contreras, Lupe Contreras, Ernie Ramirez, Gabriel Pena, Nate Silva, Zeke Gonzalez, Tony Guardado, Jaden Contreras, Adam Jaramillo, and Isaac Marquez. Cameron’s tribute was lovingly written by his family.
