Carlos Perez Rodriguez Sr.

Carlos Rodrguez, Sr. passed peacefully into heaven on September 11th, 2023. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Carlos’ family at www.andersonbethany.com. He was born July 3rd, 1933, in La Junta, Mexico. On May 7th, 1960, he married Daniela, the love of his life. Later that year, he and Daniela moved to Santa Maria, California and started their family. There, Sylvia, Herbert (Herbie), Carlos and Ricardo were born. The family then moved to Roswell, New Mexico in 1970 where they settled down and made it home. Carlos was a deacon at El Calvario Spanish Baptist Church and served as Lead Deacon for many years. His level of service to other people’s needs was relentless- putting others needs before his. His love for his bride was shown all the way through his last days on this earth. We celebrate knowing he is walking the streets of gold and making sure heaven’s landscape and roofs are in excellent condition. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Anita Rodriguez, his sisters, Guadalupe Zubia and Evangelina Salazar and one grandchild, Gilbert Rodriguez. He is survived by his wonderful wife, Daniela (Nely), his four children, Sylvia Rodriguez, Herbie (Paula) Rodriguez, Carlos Jr. (Priscilla) Rodriguez all of Roswell, NM and Rick (Tanna) Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX. Carlos is also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tim Lovato, Charles Thompson Jr., Eugene DeLos Santos Jr., Frank Martinez, Benjamin Herrera and James Dodson. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Karl Brenner, Eugene De Los Santos Sr. and Henry Trujillo. The family of Carlos would like to extend sincere gratitude to Gentiva Hospice-Roswell and all its nurses, social workers and staff and all of the pastors and members of Iglesia Bautista El Calvario for the care and attention they gave the entire family during the last several months. They also want to thank Julio (JM) and Camila Jaramillo for all the support and guidance they have always provided for the family during this difficult time.
