There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Another Rosary will be held at Assumption Catholic Church, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 1:30 PM followed by a Funeral Mass. Claudio Prudencio, born on March 23, 1937, in San Patricio, New Mexico, to Lorenza Mendoza and Martiner Prudencio, lived a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet joy. A devoted member of Assumption Catholic Church, he served faithfully as an usher and Eucharistic minister and spent many hours in Eucharistic adoration, finding strength and peace in his spiritual life. Claudio was a man who cherished simple pleasures. He loved reading, cheering on the Denver Broncos and the Artesia Bulldogs, watching classic westerns, and tackling crossword puzzles with steady determination. Above all, he treasured time spent with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, whose presence brought him immense pride and happiness. He also enjoyed visiting with friends and sharing countless moments of laughter and companionship. Claudio was first married to Mary, with whom he shared an important chapter of his life. After her passing, he later found love again with Anna. One of his greatest joys became dancing with his wife—a pastime that reflected the deep affection and partnership they shared. Claudio’s life was marked by kindness, devotion, and a gentle spirit. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Claudio are his children: Alyssa Prudencio, Veronica Prudencio (Chris), Elizabeth Medrano (Rudy), Claudio Prudencio (Linda), Claudia Garcia (Tony), and Benji Prudencio (Lisa); nineteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; and beloved pets: Layla, Luna, and Meeko. Claudio is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Prudencio; son, James Prudencio; parents: Lorenza Mendoza and Martiner Prudencio; siblings: Valentine Prudencio, Trent Prudencio, Betty Renfro, and Arcenia Acosta. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Chris Jarm, Christopher Jarm, Benji Prudencio, Claudio Prudencio, Julian Aguilar, and Jose Aguilar.
