Danny V. Montoya, 55, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Danny's family at www.andersonbethany.com. There will be a viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Artesia, New Mexico, at 10:00 AM, with an interment to follow at the Lake Arthur Cemetery. The Montoya family would like to invite those who knew and loved Danny to join them at a reception at the Lake Arthur Community Center following the burial. Danny V. Montoya was born on October 6, 1969, to Patricia "Chata" and Gonzalo S. "Chalo" Montoya in Artesia, New Mexico. He attended Lake Arthur High School, where he graduated in 1990. Danny worked as a plasma operator, fabricating metal art for Prescott Studios for many years. His family still holds on to some of his art pieces to this day. Danny was a hard worker in everything that he did. He was a helping hand to anyone in need. He had many passions, including music, taking long back road rides, listening to his favorite Spanish bands, driving fast, and getting behind the wheel of any fast car or bike. Those left to treasure and cherish memories of Danny eternally are his sons Jacob D. Montoya, Nick Montoya (Michelle), Jeremy Montoya (Kiara), and grandchildren Jacob D Montoya Jr. and Arianna Montoya. Janayah Montoya, Bradyn Montoya, Maya Montoya, Kain Montoya, Zion Montoya, Alaia Montoya, and Noah Azua; and siblings, Mary Pasillas of Roswell, New Mexico, and Juanita Aguilar of Cottonwood, New Mexico. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo S. "Chalo" Montoya and Patricia "Chata" Montoya; brothers, Javier Montoya, Abel Montoya, and Gonzalo Jr. Montoya; sisters, Lupe Baeza, Rosa McNeil, and Natalia Montoya; Tio, Santos Valenzuela; and grandparents, Ignacio and Teodora Montoya and Juana and German Valenzuela. Honored to be chosen as pallbearers for Danny are Jacob Montoya, Nick Montoya, Jeremy Montoya, Gabriel Montoya, Fidel Baeza, Chris McNeil, Angelo Madrid, Bobby Soto, and Izzy Valenzuela.
