Donna Lucero was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Donna Lucero,66, of Roswell, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, surrounded by family. Please join us in celebration of Donna’s life at the Eagles from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. On November 3, 1954, Donna Lucero was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During her beautiful life, Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and dogs, watching her soap opera Days of Our Lives, cheering on her Green Bay Packers, going to the Eagles with her friends, and going fishing with her husbands Frank Jeffrey and Richard Lucero. Donna’s soul lit up the room. She glowed from the inside out. She had a kind and funny personality, making people laugh wherever she would go. She was the life of the party and our partner in crime. She never cared what others thought of her and just lived to have fun and make others happy. If you were ever in trouble, you could count on her to come bail you out or be your getaway driver. She was a wonderful mother to her daughters, Veronica Rodriguez, and Angela Lucero, as well as her dog’s coco, faith & itsy. Everywhere Donna went, she could be caught bragging on her grandbabies telling everyone how smart they are and showing them pictures and Tik-Tok’s. Even when she was sick, she would be cheering her grandchildren on at their sporting events. If you knew Donna, you would’ve known if she had a cigarette in one hand and a drink in the other, she was happy. She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed endlessly. Donna is survived by her daughter, Angela Lucero and fiancé Ralph; daughter, Veronica Rodriguez and husband Cruz; son, Michael McCarter; grandchildren: Raymond Gonzales (aka Babe), Christopher Gonzales, Carmen Lucero, Isabel Perry and husband Ryan, Joseph Rodriguez and wife Tesia and Daniel Rodriguez; great-grandchildren: Everly, LJ, Javen, Jorden, Jaden, Jazlynn, Elijah, Josiah; siblings: Michelle Uhlenbrauck, Michael and Tom Perron, Theresa Titus, Catherine LaPat, Betty Jane Garcia, Diane Lucero, Frank and wife Gloria Lucero; uncles: Jerry Ward and wife Barb, Jack Ward, and wife Cheryl; partner in crime, Virginia Sigala; and her precious dogs: Faith and itsy. Donna is preceded in death by her parents: Edwin and Elsie Gisi, Joan Ward; husbands: Richard Lucero and Frank Jeffery; Priscilla, Santos and Lynda Franco, Rita Sigala, Cindy Butler, Phil and Rosa Sigala, Lynette Tafoya, Roger Sigala, Fermin, and Alex Archuleta, Amable, Mary, Michael, Frankie, Annette Lucero; and her beloved dogs: Coco and Chewy. The honorary pallbearers are Isabel Perry, Carmen Lucero, Raymond Gonzales, and Christopher Gonzales. A LETTER FROM HEAVEN When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn’t cry, the way you did today, while thinking of the many things, we didn’t get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too. When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart. Donna’s tribute was written in her honor by her family.
