Donna Morrow

Donna Jean (Williams) Morrow of Roswell, NM, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the UNM Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Thursday, September 11th, 2025, after a brief 6-week battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. Donna was born on November 20th, 1944, to Wilburn and Stella Riley, in Chula Vista, California, she was raised on a beautiful lemon orchard. She graduated from Chula Vista High and proceeded to get her cosmetology license in 1963. Donna had the most beautiful soul; everyone who knew her loved her almost instantly after meeting her. She married Luie Gaumond and had David B Gaumond and Wayne Gaumond. Donna divorced Luie, and married Donald Williams and had Darrell and Desmond. Several years later Donald died. After a long time, she married Wilburn Morrow but after a few short years he passed. She devoted her life to raising and taking care of many children who needed a loving home. Throughout her years, she worked as a hairdresser for well over 50 years. She was a Sabbath school teacher at the 7th-day Adventist church, where she impacted so many lives in a positive manner for 43 years. She enjoyed playing marbles with her church family and friends. She loved to ride her motorcycle in her younger days, and when she was asked if she had a bucket list she’d like to complete, she said “no I’m 80 years old and have already ridden my motorcycle to Sturgis. Who needs a bucket list when you have already done that?”, Donna was all around a wonderful and well-loved member of her community and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons, David Gaumond (Febe), Wayne Gaumond (Michelle), Darrell Williams, (stepson) Christopher Morrow, sisters Floreen Skalla, Eva Davis, and Glenda Leas. Adopted children Dustin Williams, Cassidy Williams, Tiffany Williams Herrera (Isaac) and Breeanna Williams. And so many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has extended family in California, Florida, and all over the country. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Wilburn and Stella Riley, brother James Riley; husband: Donald Williams; husband: Wilburn Morrow; son: Desmond Williams; mother and father-in-law: Carol Oliver, Bessie Oliver. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 11 am at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2915 S. Union Ave. Roswell, NM.
