Memorial services will be held for Dora Compean, 50, of Roswell, NM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 9:30 with Father Charlie Martinez. Dora Compean was born on February 26, 1962 in San Benito,Texas to Maria Lerma Gamez and Thomas Gamez. She was called home to our heavenly father on Monday November 19, 2012 in Roswell, NM. Dora was a loving beautiful woman who always thought of others before herself. She was an angelic essence that bonded her large family. She had a heart of gold and never hesitated to assist someone in need. Dora enjoyed coaching soccer, listening to music, dancing, and most of all being around family. She was the highlight of every family gathering. The children loved to be around her and play outdoor sports. Loving family memories will forever linger in our minds and one thing is certain…our angel will never be forgotten. Words cannot define how loved, admired, and respected our dear angel was. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves memories no one can steal… and love is something our dearest Dora bestowed upon us all. Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end; they simply mean we’ll miss you until we meet again. Dora was preceded in death by her daughter Mellissa Compean and father Thomas Gamez who welcomed her heavenly soul home on Monday morning. She is survived by her mother Maria Gamez of Roswell, NM and her three children Monica Compean and her spouse Adam Wright; Daniel Compean and his spouse Manda Wilson; and youngest son Adam Gamez and her grandchildren; Brianna Wright and Jaden Alexander Compean all of Roswell. She is also survived by her siblings Thomas Gamez of Blythe, CA; Norma and Juan Villegas of Roswell,NM; Janie and Luis Rivas of Roswell,NM; Joe Gamez of Mesa AZ; Yolanda and Javier Villa of Las Cruces,NM; Mary Gonzalez of Roswell,NM; Lupe and Patricia Gamez of Roswell,NM; Frank Gamez of Florence, AZ; and Elizabeth and Raul Duran of Roswell, NM. Amid the numerous loving nieces and nephews are Duly Rivas and Roseann Gamez. Our darling angel is now amidst the heavenly fathers and because she admired angels so much we are asking that the color white be worn the in lieu of black in honor of her loving memory.
