Dorothy Marie Gonzales, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. A Rosary will be on Sunday, April 30, 2017, 1:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home, memorial service will follow Rosary. Dorothy was born to Jesus Linares and Eudelia Navarette in Roswell, NM, on November 29, 1954. Manuel Gonzales and Dorothy united in marriage in Roswell, NM. She had the most generous loving heart and great compassion for others, always looking for ways to help if needed. Listening to music and dancing were some of the things she liked doing. Dorothy’s greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren; she loved them more than life itself. Dorothy enjoyed spending most of the time babysitting several children. Having a most vibrant laugh, which was her passion, Dorothy, always stood out in a crowd. Perhaps more than anything, Dorothy will be remembered for her infectious laughter, strong-will and caring heart. Surviving to cherish Dorothy’s memory are husband, Manuel C. Gonzales; sons: Richard Cardona and wife, Rene, Eric Gonzales; daughter, Crystal Cardona and husband, Patrick; step-sons: Manuel Gonzales, Jerry Gonzales; step-daughter, Christina Archuleta and husband, Chris; Godchildren: Mario Fresquez, Veronica Nunez, Angelique Sanchez, Michelle Linares; grandchildren: Melissa Cardona, Richard Jr Cardona, Mathew Cardona, Julian Leos, Patrick Jr Maturino, Manuel Maturino, Melodi Gonzalez, Eric Rey Gonzales, Ava Crystal June Salazar, Marina Conde, Lanay Conde, Seriyah Archuleta, Loveayah Archuleta, Alexa Archuleta, Daniel Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales, Azariah Gonzales; great-grandson, Zayden Vasquez; brothers: Louis Linares of San Diego, Julian Linares and wife, Elva of Phoenix, Juan Linares of Utah, Manuel Linares of Roswell, Ramon Linares of Roswell, Ruben Linares and wife, Joan of Baytown, TX, Leroy Linares and wife, Helen of Phoenix; sister, Delia Schulte and husband, Ronald of Levelland, TX; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; close childhood friend, Betty Grace Nunez; and cockatiel, Tweety Bird. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus Linares and Eudelia Navarette; brothers: Felipe Linares, Jesse Linares, Joe Linares; and sister, Thomasa Matta. A very Special Thank You to niece, Stacey Matta; hospice workers: Roberta, Stacey and Jessica; homecare workers: Veronica Avila, Rosana Grajeda, Pilly Acosta and Elizabeth Loya who showed so much compassion and love; Dr. Braik and Kymera Staff; and Father Jorge.
