Obituary of Eddie Vallejos “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7 Eddie Vallejos passed away peacefully at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Eddie was born on March 5, 1958, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Lupe Lopez. He grew up in Roswell, where he spent his early years before later making Albuquerque his home. It was there that he met his lifelong partner, Francis Guevara. Their relationship was a special one—built on love, growth, and companionship—that endured until his final days. A man of humor and generosity, Eddie was known for his ability to brighten any room with his jokes and for his giving spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand. In retirement, he especially cherished time with his daughter Lena Rene and his beloved grandchildren. He also shared a close bond with his sister Cary, enjoying their daily calls and texts. When Eddie was diagnosed with cancer, he faced his battle with courage and faith. With Lena and Francis by his side through every appointment and challenge, Eddie’s unwavering love for his family shined until the very end. Cancer did not win—Jesus did. Preceded in Death Eddie was preceded in death by his grandmother Lola Gonzales, his loving mother Lupe Lopez, his grandson Albert Vasquez, his brothers Joe, Ray, Jerry, Leroy, Albert, and Eddy, nephews Jerry Joe and Michael Vallejos, and Susie Connell, the mother of Lena Rene who loved her daughter dearly. Celebration of Life A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at Anderson-Bethany Chapel on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Gerry Chavez of Christ Church officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:30 AM till the time of the service. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and extend love and condolences to the Vallejos family. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
