Elizabeth (Libby) Ruiz, 73, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Elizabeth’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 11 am to 6 pm, and the Rosary will be said at 6 pm. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Peters on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 10 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Elizabeth was born on March 15, 1951, to Carmel and Pauline Rodriguez in Roswell, New Mexico. Elizabeth married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, Manuel, on December 21, 1968. She always said, “He was a handful but that’s okay, I have two hands.” Elizabeth was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandbaby. She also enjoyed gardening and attending to her flowers. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her family. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Manuel Ruiz; daughter, Alice (Alycia) De Los Santos; granddaughters: Adrianna De Los Santos, and Andrea Gonzalez (Emmanuel); great granddaughter, Kendra Elizabeth Gonzalez; brothers: Alex Rodriguez (Maggie), Alfred Rodriguez; sisters: Gloria Rodriguez, Rebecca Barraza, (Chimino deceased), Priscilla Lujan (Robert deceased), and Esparanza Zepada; nephews: James Gonzalez (Ginger), Michael Sanchez, Daniel Rodriguez, Orlando Barraza (Melissa); nieces: Loretta Rodriguez, Leslie Anderson, Catalina Barraza, Venus Lujan (Delos), Alycia Lujan, Desiree Lujan, Amanda Valdez; numerous great nephews and nieces. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents: Carmel and Pauline Rodriguez; brothers: Anthony Rodriguez and Andrew Rodriguez; sisters: Dolores Rodriguez and Connie Perez. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are: Charlie Martinez, Roy Rodriguez, Michael Sanchez, Orlando Barraza, Renne Gonzalez, and Bobby Mcalister Honorary Pallbearers: grandson-in-law, Emmanuel Gonzalez; nephews and nieces: Daniel Rodriguez, James Gonzalez, Loretta Rodriguez, Leslie Anderson, Catalina Barraza, Venus Lujan, Alycia Lujan, Desiree Lujan, and Amanda Valdez.
