Eloy P. Aldaz "Chezer" March 20, 1938 - February 4, 2026 Eloy P. Aldaz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to so many, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on March 20, 1938, in Lincoln, New Mexico, to Mariano and Dominia Aldaz, Eloy grew up with a strong work ethic, a love for life, and a deep pride in his roots. On July 18, 1969, in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, he began a chapter that would define much of his joy-his involvement in local car clubs. He proudly rolled with groups like the "Sofisticated Few" and Majestic, always turning heads with his cherished blue GMC pickup truck. Friends still smile remembering his signature style and that unmistakable grin behind the wheel. Before retiring, Eloy poured his dedication into many years for Armstrong and Armstrong showing the same reliability and strength he brought to everything he did. But his true fulfillment came from home-tending his grape vines, apple trees, and peach trees with patient hands and a loving heart. Those trees bore fruit not just for eating, but for sharing with family, neighbors, and anyone who stopped by. His garden was a quiet testament to his nurturing spirit, much like the way he cared for those he loved. Eloy was survived by his wife Irene Aldaz, and his children Paula Aldaz, Mario Aldaz, Isidro Aldaz, and Armando Aldaz and together they created a home overflowing with laughter, support, and unbreakable bonds. He adored his wife deeply and loved all his children unconditionally each one holding a special place in his heart. He also cherished his daughters-in-laws very much, welcoming them fully into the family with the same open arms, kindness, and pride he showed everyone. His pride swelled even more with his precious 17 grandbabies, whom he cherished deeply, especially Andrew, Kya, and Sierra Aldaz. They brought him endless joy and laughter, and he treasured every moment with them-never missing a chance to show how much they meant through stories, hugs, or just picking grapes together. He adored his siblings Lucey Terrazas of Fountain Colorado, Esther Navarro of Lake Elsinore California, Frances Valadez of Roswell New Mexico. Eloy is proceeded in death by Parents Mariano and Dominia Aldaz. Sister, Ignacia Flores, Rosa Lopez, Beatrice Aldaz, Mary Estrada, Viola Perez, and a brother Robert Avalos. Children, Gina Aldaz, Frank Aldaz. Eloy—our Chezer, our rock, our green-chile-loving, fruit-tree-tending grandpa-you loved so completely and inclusively, embracing every member of the family with the same big heart. We'll miss your laugh, your stories, the taste of your apples, and the way you made every one of us feel so special and cherished. Rest easy, knowing your love lives on in all of us.
