Frank Espinoza

Frank Ontiveros Espinoza, 88, of Roswell went to the Lord Saturday, November 5, 2011 at his home. He was born June 3, 1923 in Buena Vista, Texas to parents Demitrio and Maria (Ontiveros) Espinoza. He married his loving wife Guadalupe Villa Espinoza. They shared a wonderful life together. She preceded him in death and they will be reunited again. Frank proudly served in the United States Army in World War II in the Corps of Engineers. He worked as a truck driver with the Roswell Independent School District until his retirement. Frank is survived by sons, Frank Espinoza Jr. (Gloria), Albert Espinoza, Ernesto Espinoza, Patricio Espinoza (Rachel), Mark Espinoza Mapes, and Mitch Espinoza Mapes; daughters, Juanita Villa (Felix T.), Linda Quintela (Manny), Helen M. Anaya, Margie Pizana, Sally A. Juarez, Ernestina Acosta, Cecilia “Cissy” Villa (Felipe); Tanya Espinoza Mapes, and LeeAnn Espinoza Mapes; brother, Demetrio Espinoza Jr.; sister, Angela Espinoza Soto; special daughter in law, Hopie Espinoza and son, Paul; 46 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; families Renteria, Aguilar, and Najar; and special companion, Sista Bustamantes. He is preceded in death by wife, Guadalupe Villa Espinoza; son, Ramon Richard Espinosa; grandson, Paul Michael Juarez; granddaughter, Bianca Gonzales; great grandson, Julian Anthony Rojas; infant daughter, Angelica Espinoza; brothers, John Victor Placido, Estban Espinoza; sisters, Christina Liges, Frances Najar, and Encarnacion “Concha” Aguilar; and parents, Demeterio and Maria Espinoza. Serving as pallbearers are Felipe Espinoza, Jose Angel Espinoza, Joel Espinoza, Rick Espinoza, Mario Villa, and Michael Issac Quintela. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Longoria, Martin Weathersby, Nathaniel Weathersby, Angelica Villa and Anissa Villa. A special thank you goes out to Joshua Whitt for being there for Grandpa. A rosary will be recited 7pm, Sunday, November 13, 2011 at St. John’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be said 10am, Monday, November 14, 2011 at St John’s Catholic Church with Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez OFM officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Viewing hours will be Sat. 10 am – 8 pm and Sun. 12 pm – 5 pm. Military honors will be provided by the Roswell Veteran Honor Guard and the New Mexico National Guard.
