Gloria Sedillo

Memorial services for Gloria Sedillo, 66, of Roswell, will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 10 am at Church on The Move with Pastor Troy Smotherman officiating. Gloria passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was a life-long resident of Roswell. She was born in Roswell on April 7, 1947 to Elfin Garcia and Mary L. Barrera. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend. Gloria was known to be a loving, caring, kind hearted person with a big smile. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in the medical field for many years. She was loved by all her family. She was a member of Church on The Move. She loved her children very much and would have gone to the ends of the earth for them. Gloria will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her children; Rudy Sedillo, Jr and wife, Noemi of Roswell; Roderic Sedillo and fiancé Vanessa, and daughter Rina Sedillo; her mother Mary L. Garcia; sisters Bea Medrano, Betty Gamboa and husband Alfred, Sally Bara of Muleshoe, TX, Eva Villarreal and husband Pete, Esther Garcia; brother Frankie Garcia and wife Denna all of Roswell; grandchildren: Jovanna Bonilla and fiancé Alex Nuno, Dominic Sedillo and fiance Amara, KayLea and Nathanuel Sedillo, Kevin Sedillo, Eric Sedillo and Brianna, Little Rudy IV, Marina Sedillo, R.J., Alliyah,and Angel Sedillo; great grandchildren: Giovani Nuno, Passion, Baby Dominic Jr., Sedillo, and Eric Jr., Sedillo. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Elfin Garcia; her brothers, Junior, and Benny Garcia and his sister Angie Garica, an infant son, Ray Anthony Sedillo; grandparents: Eulio and Eufersia Garcia and Vincente and Sylvestra Barrera. The family want to express their sincere “Thanks” to Gloria Orona and Nancy Silva and her sisters for the help they gave to the family and Gloria during this difficult time. Thank you also to Gentiva Hospice for being with us during the hard times; Anita Marrufo, Benita and the Cancer Center. God Bless you all. For My Mom She was the first to touch the softness of my skin, Wrap me in her innocence in a world with so much sin. Soothe me with her kind and gentle loving hands As I grew to wonder of far off distant lands. The times that I would tremble at the world that caused me fear, She’d take those gentle hands and wipe away my tears. This woman that I spoke of, is an Angel from above, She spreads her wings and flies like a beautiful morning dove. So this I say to you Mom, Today and everyday you’re always in my heart.
