Humberto Estrada

A rosary will be recited for Humberto “Bert” Estrada, 57, of Roswell at 6 pm Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at St. John’s Catholic Church. A funeral service will be at 10 am Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow in South Park Cemetery. Bert passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 from 2- 4 pm at the funeral home. Humberto was born December 3, 1955 to Jose R. Estrada and Modesta Madrid de Estrada in Santa Cruz de Mayo, Chihuahua, Mexico. Humberto was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Humberto and Valerie were married on Sept. 27, 1980 in Roswell, NM. Bert loved to hunt, was an outdoorsman, artistic, humorous, a jokester and loved to play basketball. He loved his family very much, free spirit, life of the party, general contractor, loved to build things and lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Valerie Estrada of the family home; his parents, Jose and Modesta Estrada of Roswell; his daughters, Julietta Estrada-Herrera and her husband, Isaias of Abilene, TX; and Tiaese Estrada of Roswell; his son, Ray Estrada and Veronica Tarin of Roswell; his brother, Joe Estrada and his wife, Stephanie of Roswell; his sisters, Christina Aguirre and her husband, Jesus of Roswell; Gloria Diosado and her husband, Martin of Pampa, TX; and Carolina Moreno and her husband, Arturo of Roswell; his grandchildren, Gabriela and Isabel Herrera, Nevaeh Estrada and Devin Reed, Taran, Noah, and Aubrey Rae Estrada; his nieces, Cynthia Sandoval, Angie Estrada, Debbie Martinez, Denise Martinez, Jessica Aguirre, Michelle Ramos, Jeanette Alvarez and Ashley Vegara; his nephews, Ernie Estrada, Gabriel Estrada, Enrique Estrada, Jerry Aguirre, Joseph Estrada, Danny Guerra, Aaron Guerra, Johnny Lujan, Ernie Lujan, Matthew Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Mar’kos ,Vic’toro, Er’Nasis, En’rique, S’ferino and D’nesios Lujan and many many friends. Humberto was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernesto Estrada, Enrique Estrada and Juan Vargas, his sister, Isabel Estrada. Pallbearers will be Joe Estrada, Mike Brumlow, Bill Bartlett, Ray Estrada, Adrian Estrada, Hector Lujan and Joey Vegara. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Estrada, Ernie Estrada, Gabriel Estrada, Enrique Estrada, Jerry Aguirre, Tommy Lujan, Hector Tarin, Lenny Romero, Ricky Gomez, Tony Garcia, Phil Scarpa, Ernest Lujan, Johnny Lujan, Alan Tucker, Danny Guerra and Aaron Guerra. Services are under the direction of Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory.
