Irene Tyler

Irene Lavern Tyler went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 03, 2012. She was born April 18, 1930 in Chickasha, OK. She was 82 years old. Lavern was married to J.D. Tyler for 65 and a half years. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2012. Together, they had seven children; Mildred, Glenn, Karl, Derwin, Curtis, and Reba. She loved Jesus, life, attending church and people. She enjoyed playing bingo, 42, cooking and spending time with her family. Her hobbies were gardening, arts and crafts and spending time outside. She gave 110% to everything she did. Those also left to cherish Laverne’s memory is daughter, Mildred Underwood and her husband Keith of Tishomingo, OK; son, Karl Tyler and his wife Kathy of Roswell; son Derwin Tyler and his wife Tammi of Montgomery City, Missouri; son, Curtis Tyler and his wife Tammy of Roswell; daughter Reba Moffett of Roswell; two brothers; Kenneth Scates and wife Detta and Joe Wayne Scates and wife Bea of Roswell; three sisters; Violet Russell of Rochester, NY, Sylvia Crosby and husband Rex of Shawnee, OK and Hazel McArther and husband Ron of Choctaw, OK, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Being reunited together again with her in heaven is husband, J.D.; child, Baby Tyler; son, Glenn Tyler; son-in-law, Jimmy Moffett; brother, Johnny Scates; sister-in-law, Glenda Scates, and brother-in-law, C.L. Russell and parents Joe Frank Scates and Flora D. Stephens Scates. Services for Lavern will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 07, 2012 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Sons of Midway Family Church officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8 am - 8pm Wednesday, June 06, 2012 and 8am-1pm Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Those serving as pallbearers will be Jason Erwin, Joshua Frazier, Brandon Erwin, Mathew Frazier, Mark Tyler, Charles Russell and Ronnie Russell. Honorary pallbearers are Melvin Tyler, Scott Tyler, Ken Scates, Jr, Ken Scates, Sr, Allen Frazier and Weldon Frazier. Amazing grace! How sweet the sound,That saved a wretch like me!
