Israel Nathaniel Bonilla

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Israel Nathaniel Bonilla, who left this world on January 26, 2025. Born on January 23, 1995, in Roswell, New Mexico, Israel's kindness and love touched the lives of many. Israel was a cherished son, brother, father, partner, and friend. His compassionate spirit, generosity, and dedication to his loved ones were evident in everything he did. He loved playing basketball, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and found peace in fishing. Israel had a passion for cars and took pride in his 1985 Buick Regal. Despite facing cancer, Israel was a warrior of God and was able to overcome any challenge through his faith. Israel’s greatest pride and joy was his beloved daughter, Gianna Evette Bonilla, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. He is survived by his loving partner, Unique Sedillo, and her mother, Nicolette Salazar; his mother, Jennifer Pacheco; his grandmother, Martha Corona Bonilla; his brothers, Daniel Pacheco and Roberto Isaac Bonilla; and his sister, Ismarez Bonilla and her partner, Dylan Matta. He is also survived by his cousin, who was like a brother to him, Gonzalo Julian Bonilla and his partner, Maria Sanchez. Israel shared a special bond with his best friends, Luis Vale and Micah Vale, who stood by him throughout his life. Israel was deeply loved by his grandparents, Gonzalo Bonilla and Oralia Bonilla; his tios and tias: Joseph and Damariz Pacheco; Gonzalo and Crystal Bonilla; Emiliano Bonilla; Valeria Bonilla; Jack and Anjanette Lopez; cousins: Siria, Galilea, Joshua, Dimitri, Sebastian, Joseph, Natalia, Leon, Matthew, Karissa, Josiah; as well as many other family and friends. Israel is preceded in death by his father, Roberto Daniel Bonilla, his grandmother, Margie Pacheco, and his grandfather, Daniel Pacheco, all of whom he carried close to his heart. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Christ’s Church – Roswell. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, share stories, and honor Israel’s remarkable life. Israel’s memory will live on through the love he gave and the countless lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
