Israel Pino

On November 10, 2024, Israel Pino went home to join his beloved parents, brothers, and extended family and friends in heaven. Israel’s life will be honored on Friday, November 22, 2024, with a Viewing to take place from 12 pm to 5 pm, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory, with a Rosary to follow at 6 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church at 10 am with a Graveside Service, following the mass. Israel was born on August 11, 1968, in Roswell, NM to Francisco “Frank/Paco” Pino Sr. and Mary Pino. He was the baby of six siblings, which turned into nine during their young childhood. Israel graduated from Goddard High School in 1987. He went on to work in plumbing and at Levi’s and later decided to attend 2 years of school at New Mexico State University earning a certificate/associate in Waste Management. He then worked for the City of Roswell for 15 years at the Wastewater Plant as a lab technician. Israel was love personified. He lived a life full of humor, laughter, and fun. He was known for his kind, loving heart and his humorous personality. He knew no stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms, and often a bear hug. He accepted you as you were and if you needed him, he was there, no questions asked. He was the fun-loving “Uncle Itch” that often threw us in the back of the Blazer to do donuts and fly over speed bumps, dance down the hallway, or take us for a spin on the 4-wheeler. He showed us how to have fun and be adventurous as he grew up loving to skateboard and snowboard. He was happy with what he had and never asked for more. We will all miss his infectious laughter that sounded through a room. He was a proud grandfather and loved to share photos of his grandchildren and more recently he took up sending selfies. His departure from our lives leaves a void that will never be filled as we will greatly miss his rambunctious, fun-loving and caring personality. He is survived by his son, Andrew Pino; grandchildren: Elizabeth Mary, Andrew Lawson, Emersyn Grace and his loyal sidekick, Carolina; sisters: Josephine Farmer (John Farmer), Tonya Chavez (Arthur Chavez), Anita Kay Pino, Monica Cuthair, Mercedes Cuthair, and Sonya Cuthair; his nephews and nieces: Jason Montoya (Angelique), Jeremy Montoya, Joseph Montoya, Leann Chavez, Bryan Farmer (Vanessa), Kevin Farmer (Samantha), Cisco Pino, Alyssa Pino, David Lee, Christopher, Dominique Archuleta, Desirae Archuleta (Fabian), Anjelika Barreras, Peter Lopez, Francis Lopez, Dakota Pino, Matthew Cuthair and Jasper Cuthair; great nieces and nephews: Eliana Chavez, Paul Montoya, Angeline Montoya, DJ Barela, RJ Farmer, Wes Farmer, Manolo De los Santos, Jayden Cuthair and Fabian Acosta Jr. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Genoveva Garcia; parents: Frank Pino, Sr. and Mary Pino; his brothers: David Pino and Frank Pino Jr.; and niece, Estrea Barreras. He was loved by many and had lifelong friendships that withstood the test of time. Pallbearers will be Jason Montoya, Jeremy Montoya, Joseph Montoya, Eliana Chavez, Gabriel Estrada, Anthony “Ace” Otero, Bobby Barnett and Steve Garza. An infinite list of Honorary Pallbearers exists but the family would like to especially recognize Leann Chavez, Bryan Farmer, Kevin Farmer, Yvette and Jerry Romero, Sr., Pablo “Cruz” Vigil, Frank Montoya, Missy Fox-Ledbetter, Kay Lilley, Jimmy Molinar, Tommy Yoder, Scotty Miller, Mark Molinar, Ed Maidment, Terri Hemmings, Lalo Castrillo, Jr., Ernie Estrada, Eli Leist, and David Lee for everything they did for our beloved Isreal Pino. Israel’s tribute was lovingly written by his family. His Journey’s Just Begun Don’t think of him as gone away His journey’s just begun, Life holds so many facets This earth is only one. Just think of him as resting From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years Think how he must be wishing That we could know today How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of him as living In the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost And he was loved so much.
