Jason Robert Medrano April 18, 1987 - October 19, 2024 Jason Robert Medrano, 37, was welcomed into heaven on October 19, 2024, in Lubbock, TX. A viewing will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral home on October 25, 2024, from 2pm to 7pm and a rosary at 7pm. On October 26, 2024, Mass will be held at St. Catherine Church in Hagerman at 9am, and burial to follow at Hagerman Cemetery. On April 18, 1987, Jason was born to Alvaro and Noelia Medrano in Roswell, NM. He was a remarkable son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend. Jason attended Hagerman Schools all of his life and graduated in 2006. He then attended ENMU-R where he received a degree in auto body. Jason loved watching football. Everyone who knew Jason knew he was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Jason had such a unique kind hearted soul. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anybody in need. Jason was raised in Hagerman, NM. While growing up he spent countless times with his “grandpo” and “grandmo” Ricardo and Gloria Medrano, who babysat him. He enjoyed playing sports. He played little league baseball until he was old enough to play for the Hagerman Bobcat football team. He cherished the memories he made with his football team brothers. Jason also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his friends and family. He enjoyed hosting movie/fight nights at his house for his family. He adored spending time with his niece Iyla, who he really cherished. He enjoyed having her spend countless nights with him accompanied with his mom. They were able to bond by play fighting and sharing quality moments. He really enjoyed working in the oil field, where he met numerous friends, until he fell ill. Jason’s all time favorite thing to do on the weekend was grilling and smoking ribs for his family and watching the football game. Jason lives on in the hearts of his parents, Alvaro and Noelia Medrano; sisters, Ashley Medrano (Jerome Torrez) and Clarissa Medrano (Guadalupe Ortiz); niece, Iyla Torrez; precious pet, Daisy. Jason was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Armin B Grado, Ricardo and Gloria Medrano; uncles, Armando Medrano, Cecil Medrano, and Richard and Beatrice Medrano; cousin, Ruby Gonzalez. PALLBEARERS: Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Guadalupe Ortiz, Jerome Torrez, Paul Rincon, Erik Ruiz, Oscar Jr Medrano, Anthony Medrano, Fabian Romero, and Diego Gomez HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Damien Rincon, Roger Salazar, Rudy Medrano, Jose Medrano, Daniel Suarez, Mathew Rincon, Xavier Rodriguez, Oscar Sr Medrano, and Frankie Rodriguez. The family of Jason wishes to extend sincere thanks to his nurse Josh, and the entire Fresenius staff. Also want to say a huge thank you to Father Raphael.
