Jeanne Cozzens

Jeanne Cozzens was born to Clyde and Ilene Floyd in Pasadena, California on May 13, 1932. Except for the last 4 years, she lived in the Southern California area all her life. She attended grammar school and junior high in Burbank. When her family moved to Pasadena she attended the Pasadena Academy, and then took classes at Pasadena Nazarene College. She excelled in voice,primarily in choir and solo. Jeanne married Doyle Cozzens on November 23, 1953 in Pasadena. At the time of her death, they had been married 56+ years. She worked for many years as a business manager for a large auto dealership. She was known for exacting standards of book-keeping and accounting. Her true passion, however, was the study of the Bible. From the early 1960s, she attended large and small study groups. She would often take her children and later, her grandchildren to these study groups. She is survived by her husband Doyle Cozzens, and children, Dr. Michael Cozzens and wife Lisa and their children Sharalee, and David. Daughter Sally White and husband Ken, and their children Samuel, Andrew, Elisabeth, and Kelli. She is also survived by daughter Linda Schultz and husband Jeff and their children Katelin, Timothy, and Matthew. Jeanne is survived by her only sibling, Marlene Ducharme, and niece Lori Hoffman, and nephew Bob Gustafson. Also surviving is one cousin, Dorothy Tillery, and husband Earl. She is also survived by brother-in-law L. C. Cozzens and wife Mary Lou, and children Gary and wife Shirley, Glenda Sears and husband Jeff, Gail Scott and husband Dickie, and Grace Moore and husband Mike. Also, brother-in-law Bob Parsons and children Dr. Robert Parsons and wife Pat, Dr. Sally Parsons, Janet Thorson and husband Kurt, Debbie Harrelson and husband Colt, and Diane Parsons. Also surviving is sister-in-law Marilyn Cozzens. Also surviving her is brother-in law Ken Cozzens and wife Pauline, and their children Rob, Christy Mages, and husband Cris, Cindy Ross, Jenni Bruce-Miller and husband Richard. Also, sister-in-law Pat Cozzens and daughters Peggy Winchester and husband Larry and Carolann Meekins and husband Dan. Also, sister-in law Cornelia Grannis, and children Tom, and Barbara Rogers, and Tek Grannis She had a large number of great nieces and great nephews. Services will be held at the Central Nazarene Church on East Country Club Road, Roswell, on Tuesday, February 16 at 10am. A graveside service will be at the Cozzens family plot in the Capitan Cemetery at approximately 2:30 pm.
