Memorial services for JoAnn Andrea Contreras, 43, of Roswell will held at 5 pm, Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. JoAnn passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009. JoAnn was born January 9, 1966 to Merejildo Ray Contreras and Flora Peralta in Roswell. She was a kind and caring person, always putting others needs before hers, she would always help and feed everybody. JoAnn loved to dance and listen to music, she was always the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with her children always making sure they had what they needed, her children were always her top priority and her biggest pride and joy. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by three daughters; RaeRae Merejilda Jude Contreras of Wyoming, Chastity Antoinette Contreras, Flora Contreras both of Roswell, two sons; Vicente Salcido Jr. IV, Gregorio Alonso Contreras both of Roswell, three grandsons; Micheal, Tino and Kevin Contreras, one granddaughter; Serena Lynn Contreras, one brother; Bobby Contreras, one sister; Debbie Contreras both of Roswell, three goddaughters; Viola J. Gamboa, Ruby Ann Contreras, Ruby Herrera, one godson; Charlie Contreras, numerous nieces and nephews too many to name but were all well loved by their tia. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents; Lito and Lita Peralta, one sister; Ruby Ann Contreras, one brother; Ray Contreras, one nephew; Bobby Ray Contreras, one grandson; Baby Gabe Contreras Rodriguez, one great nephew; Eric Robert Contreras. God saw she was getting tired And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her And whispered, “Come with Me.” With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
