John Floyd George, 48, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with John’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. Services will be held at Hope Family Church of God at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2023. Lowriders and bikers s will meet at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home at 12:00 PM for John’s last ride. Family and friends will gather for a potluck fellowship at the Church. On June 13, 1974, John was born to John Earl George and Victoria Jane Herron in Roswell, New Mexico. He worked as a truck driver. John had a certification in black belt and judo under the late Robert Rutley. He was a member of Hope Family Church of God. John volunteered at Heart of Addiction and Hope Family Church of God. He enjoyed playing the guitar and knives, hunting, fishing camping, and attending church events. John loved spending time with friends and his dogs. My brother had the gift of making friends and loving everyone he met. John will be remembered and missed by all. Those left to cherish memories of John are his stepmother, Peggy McDonald and husband Charles McDonald; stepdad, Larry Larson; siblings: sister Melissa Duran of Roswell NM, stepsisters and brothers: Anne Haynes and husband Carl, Coley Patterson, Daphinie Lidgard and husband Shawn, Jennifer Larson, Jeff Larson and wife Ali, Helen Cockrum of Roswell, Patricia George of Roswell, Charlie Herron of Odessa, Texas; nieces and nephews: Shawn Duran and wife Brittney, Shaye Duran and wife Crystil Rosas-Duran, Shane Duran and wife Mayra, Nichole Patton, Ethan Lidgard, Gage and Madison Lidgard and Randy Estrada and wife Melissa; as well as his precious pets Malcolm and Dolly. Preceding John in death are his parents, John Earl George and Victoria Jane Herron; grandparents: Floyd T. George, Lola Jewel George, Gabe Herron, and Martha Jane Herron. Pallbearers: Segundo Armendariz, Nick Ferguson, Bryant Dunlap, Randy Estrada, brothers of Hope Family Church of God, Chris Nieto, Chris Griego, and Charlie Litrell. Honorary Pallbearers: Shawn, Shane, Shaye, Kevin Duran, Coley Patterson, Ski Cherinko, Joshua Martinez, Mike and Brooklyn Besso, Ethan and Shawn Lidgard. The family would like to thank the Hope Family Church of God and Heart of Addiction, for helping John in his walk w/Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Family Church of God, 2200 N. Garden, Roswell, New Mexico. John’s tribute was written in his honor by his family.
