Obituary for Jose “Se” Montoya Our beloved son, brother and father, Jose “Se” Montoya passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. A viewing will be on Friday, March 31, 2017, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Rosary will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 9:00 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2017, following will be a Celebration of Life, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Jose Ramon Montoya was born on May 7, 1993, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Juan Montoya Sr. and Lorene Acosta Montoya being their third child. He was the clown of the family and could make anyone laugh with his stories of his “alien” family. He was always ready to help someone less fortunate. He made many friends because of his generous attitude. The love for his family and the love his family had for Jose will never end. Jose’s happiest moments were to be sitting outside and watching his girls play. Nothing could be better than his mom’s cooking, especially tortillas. He loved family get-togethers and listening to music. He enjoyed being at his Pama’s house in the yard with his girls swinging and playing in the sandbox. Jose will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Surviving to cherish Jose’s memory are his loving girlfriend, Quanah Lopez; daughters: Nevaeh Montoya and Araceli Montoya; parents, Juan Montoya Sr. and Lorene Acosta Montoya; grandmother, Mary Montoya; brother, Juan Montoya Jr; sisters: Erica Madrid and Marisa Montoya; nephews: Henry Madrid Jr. and David Montoya; niece, Santana Madrid; and numerous friends and family. Jose was preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Emilio and Esther Acosta and Daniel Montoya Sr; uncles: Daniel Montoya Jr. and Felipe Acosta. Those chosen as Pallbearers are: Juan Montoya Sr, Lorene Montoya, Juan Montoya Jr, Marisa Montoya, Erica Madrid, Henry Madrid Jr and Quanah Lopez. This tribute was written in honor of Jose by his family.
