Jose A. "Tony" Rodriguez, Sr.

A rosary will be recited for Jose A. “Tony” Rodriguez, Sr., at 7:00 PM, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Ernesto Martinez officiating. Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. Jose A.”Tony” Rodriguez, Sr., 70, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Tony was born March 18, 1943 in Roswell, NM to Felix Rodriguez and Carmen Hernandez Rodriguez. He worked in produce at Furr’s Supermarket and planted trees for Featherstone Pecan Orchard. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 53 years, Antonia M. Rodriguez, his sons, Jose A. Rodriguez Jr.; Juan C. Rodriguez and his companion, Gloria Moreno; Vincent Rodriguez and his companion, Amanda Ramos; daughter, Felicia Brown and her husband, Gary Brown; his beloved pet, Rocko Rodriguez; his brothers, Felix Richard Rodriguez; Arturo and Mary Rodriguez; his sisters, Ramona and husband ,Patricio Rubio; Lupe Sifuentes; Barbara and Mike Lopez, Apolonia Luthi; Sophie Guevara; Yvonne Rodriguez; Sally and Donald Barreras; Mary and Eddie Miranda; Lilly Garcia and companion Manuel Salazar; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Felix Rodriguez; brother, Augustine Rodriguez along with several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Arturo Rodriguez, Danny Archuleta, Jose A. Rodriguez III, Felix Rodriguez Jr., Henry Contreras, Gary Brown, Art Rodriguez, and Albert Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers are Juan C. Rodriguez, Vincent Rodriguez, Joe A. Rodriguez Jr., Eddy Miranda, numerous relatives of the Rodriguez and Archuleta family. To Those I Love And Those Who Love Me While I am gone release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many beautiful years. I gave to you my love. You can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown. But now it's time I traveled on alone. To grieve for me a while if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust, It's only a while that we must part, To bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on, So if you need me, call and I will come, Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, You'll hear all my love around you soft and clear, And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say... "Welcome Home"
