Joseph "Joey" Orosco

Joseph Richard Orosco, 46, passed away on November 5, 2023. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Joseph's family at www.andersonbethany.com Services will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 10:00 am followed by burial at South Park Cemetery. On March 15, 1977, Joseph was born to Joe and Frances Orosco in Las Cruces, NM. Joseph was raised on the south side of Roswell, NM. He attended Chisum Elementary and graduated high school, class of 96’. He attended ENMUR, Universal Technical Institute of Phoenix, AZ, and recently was close to finishing Barber School at Albuquerque Barber College. Joseph was a lifelong CDL driver. Throughout his trucking career, he hauled anything from water, hay, beer, soda, sand soft goods, milk, and anything in between. Joseph’s family was his pride and joy. He married the love of his life, Patricia, on June 2, 2008. They share five children. There is nothing Joe loves more than coaching and watching his kids’ sports games and activities. Joe himself loved to compete in sports and games including basketball, disc golf, pool, darts, and horseshoes. Win or lose, he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fanatic, as well as the LA Lakers. Joe was so die-hard for his Cowboys that he openly despised any East Coast teams. Hunting and fishing were two of his greatest passions and he spent as much time outdoors as he could. Family BBQs, holidays, and gatherings will never be the same without him. Joseph will always be remembered by friends, family, and co-workers for being honest, helpful, faithful, and so hard-working. Joseph’s favorite things included going out to watch a good movie, enjoying a good meal, spending time outdoors, as well as time with his children, and dancing with his wife. Those left to treasure memories of Joe are his wife: Patricia Orosco; children: Sienna Orosco and spouse, Kevin Paez, Gage Orosco, JD Orosco, Eli Orosco, Santos Orosco, and Cali Orosco; granddaughter: Ava Jude Paez; parents: Frances Orosco, Joe Orosco and wife Louisa; siblings: Daniel, Elizabeth, Joshua, Aaron and Isaac; nephews: Xavier, Remy, Nathaniel, Johnny, Edward, Arturo, Achilles, and Quentin Allen; nieces: Danielle, Nina, Selena, Vanessa, and Natalia. Preceded in death by grandparents: Chon and Ophelia Orosco, Fortino and Magdalena Hernandez; best friend and Tio: Daniel Ramirez Honorary Pallbearers chosen are Mathew and Albert Hernandez, Raymond and Silver Barron, Richie Toscano, Fernando Garcia, Roderick Sedillo, David and Jason Barela, and Henery Contreras. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Joseph’s sons: Gage, JD, Eli, Santos, and Kevin Paez; brother-in-law: Silvio Quintana; Joseph’s best friends: Marvin Reese, Jericho Dutchover; and his Compa Andre Hunter. Joseph or “Joey” as we all knew him was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. December 11, 2022, he was baptized along with his family at Church on the Move. We urge you to take comfort in knowing our Joey is with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ free from pain or illness. Joseph’s tribute was written in his honor by his family.
