Josephine Montoya

A rosary will be recited for Josephine, 76, of Roswell at 7 pm, Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Josephine at 10 am, Monday, June 21, 2010 at St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez O.F.M.officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Josephine passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2010. Visitation will be 8 am-5 pm Thursday, June 17, 2010, 8-5 Friday, June 18, 2010 and 8-5 Saturday, June 19, 2010 and 3-9 pm Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Josephine was born June 12, 1934 to Arturo Duran and Pilar Guilez in Tularosa, NM. She took great pride in taking care of her children. Josephine enjoyed embroidering and playing bingo. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Josephine is survived by two sons; John Rocha and Fran Apodaca of Roswell, Orlando Guilez and his wife Cynthia of Alamogordo, four daughters; Josephine (Jerri) Samario and Alex Ogas of Roswell, Cecelia Meeks and her husband Chris of Roswell, Mary Lou Montoya and Ray Luna of Roswell and Tina Lenore Montoya and Joel Carrera of Midland, Tx, five sisters; Armanda Morris and her husband Luis of Glencoe, NM, Esther Landry and her husband Rick of Tehachapi, CA, Lupe Bouckley of Las Vegas, NV, Simona Zamora and her husband Francisco of Colorado Springs, CO and Manuela Jaramillo, four brothers; Pete Rocha and Kathy Aragon of Colorado Springs, CO, Francisco Rocha of Roswell, Andy Rocha and his wife Pauline of Roswell, Martin Jaramillo of Alamogordo, twenty four grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and twenty six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pilar Guilez Rocha and Arturo Duran, five children Florentino, Jose, Mario Guilez, Tina Grace Montoya and Charlene Martinez, two sisters, Carmen and Dolores;two brothers,Concepcion and Mike Rocha; her husband, Stanley S. Montoya. Pallbearers will be Pancho Zamora, Raymundo Sanchez, Chris Meeks, Artie Lopez, Raul Martinez and Alex Salcido. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Ogas, Pancho Rocha, Andy Rocha and Pete Rocha.
