Joshua Ryan Garnand

Our charismatic and beautiful son, Joshua Ryan Garnand passed away in Lubbock, Texas, at University Medical Center on Friday evening, February 9, 2018. He was surrounded by his parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandmother, pastors and friends. Joshua was the oldest of three children. Joshua was raised in a loving home in Roswell, and he had one sister, Chloe; and one brother, Caleb. As a toddler, Joshua was full of life and energy. He was daring, fearless, adventurous, loving, kind and super active. Joshua had a sweet and gentle spirit and was fascinated with fire trucks. He enjoyed playing with balls and cars. Joshua loved to sing, and he loved Jesus. He was always praising God with worship songs. At three years old, Joshua’s little body was physically attacked, but his spirit was that of a courageous lion. He fought many battles. Joshua was a fighter! He was resilient! He had a will to live despite the challenges he faced. Joshua touched many lives and continues to do so even after his passing. He taught us so many lessons. Our family was very close because of him. We miss you dearly son! Onward Christian Soldier! Run!!! Those left to cherish Joshua’s memory are his sister, Chloe Garnand; brother, Caleb Garnand; parents: Victor Garnand and Sandra Garnand; grandparents: David Garnand, Andres Rincon, Maria Rincon; aunts and uncles: Ro and Norma Garnand of Alamogordo, NM, Art Garnand of Alamogordo, NM, Glen and Christina Garnand of Roswell, NM, David Garnand of Las Cruces, NM, Marlen Garnand of Deming, NM, Josie Ballinas of Deming, NM, Butch Rincon of Las Cruces, NM, Adam and Mari Rincon of Deming, NM, Neima Higuera of Deming, NM, Eva and Gus Camacho of Dallas, TX, Lupe and Arthur Garcia of Roswell, NM and lots of cousins. Preceding Joshua in death was his grandmother, Josefina Garnand; and uncle, Adrian Ballinas. Pallbearers will be: Omar Rincon, Jesus Rincon, J.D. Garcia, Alonso Rubio, Omar Najera and Christopher Camacho. A Funeral Service will be held at Church On The Move on Friday, February 16, 2018, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
