Judith M. Hills

Judy Marion Hills, born on April 13, 1939, in the lovely state of Massachusetts, left this world on November 15, 2024, from her cozy home in Roswell, New Mexico. At the age of 85, she carried with her a lifetime of cherished memories, loving relationships, and a legacy of heartfelt impact that will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Judy was a vibrant soul who embraced life with a hearty laugh and the kind of humor that was infectious. Her journey was shared with her beloved husband, Raymond, to whom she was married in the late 1950s. Together, they embarked on a remarkable adventure. As a military family, they ventured across the vast stretches of the United States and even journeyed overseas, adding many stamps to their passport of life. Her pride and joy were her three children: Theresa, Charles, and Kelly, each of whom carries a particular piece of her spirit. Though she experienced the deep sorrow of losing her devoted husband Raymond, Judy’s resilience and faith never wavered. Judy found her calling working for the Roswell Independent School District, in which she worked for many years. Her retirement was filled with art—painting vivid landscapes and capturing the brilliance of her surroundings with every brushstroke. Her affinity for crossword puzzles kept her sharp and on her toes, forever challenging herself to find just the right word. Her family will always remember her as a beacon of love and strength. She leaves behind a treasured legacy with her daughters Theresa Brewton, Kelly Hills, her son Charles (Mirna) Hills, Grand children Tarra (Eddie) Macias , Ishah (Robert) Aldinger, Chuck (Rachel) Hills, Kenny Hills, Timothy Hills, and Great grandson Josiah Aldinger. Her unconditional love and wonderful sense of humor will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. As we celebrate Judy’s life, we are reminded of her steadfast faith. "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength... They will soar on wings like eagles..." Let these words from Isaiah 40:31 offer peace and comfort during these difficult times.
