Julian Padilla Garcia at a beautiful age of 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children Robert, Helen, Jack, Eddie, Cindy, David, and Sarah, son’s in law Billy and Chris, daughter in law Lisa, and granddaughters Prissy, Jennifer, Angela, and Jenilee on September 20, 2011. Born in Capitan, NM on the 28th of January 1930, Julian married Maria Fresquez in 1951 from Capitan New Mexico then moved to Dexter New Mexico to start his family and then later moved to Tatum New Mexico to raise his 9 children. In December 1971, Julian and Maria moved to Roswell which has been his place of residence for the past 41 years. A wonderful husband and partner to his wife, Maria, of 59 years who was laid to rest for eternal life last October, and now her husband and our father has been reunited with his loving wife that he has missed so dearly and whom he had provided unconditional love. God bless them both and watch over our mother and father whom we will miss. An exceptional dad to his nine sons and daughters, a grandfather and great grandfather of over 76 had a very special relationship with each one of us and he always provided us with the encouragement and the support that will never be forgotten. Dad as to who we got to know was an unselfish and proud man of our achievements that he boasted to all of his co-workers, bingo companions and his relatives with the biggest smile ever. This was his most cherished memories that we will never forget and we ask of you dad, now that you are reunited with mom is to continue to give her all the love and compassion as you have before and give her a hug from all of us. You will be sorely missed. Julian is survived by his 6 sons, Robert and wife Lisa from Roswell, Jack from Houston Texas, Eddie and wife Tian from China, David and wife HyeJa from Seoul Korea, Danny and his Fiancé Andrea from Brisbane Australia, and Perry from Midland Texas; 3 daughters; Helen Wallace and husband Myron from Albuquerque, Cindy Henson and husband Billy from Hagerman, Sarah Castro and husband Chris from Roswell; 29 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren; 6 sisters; Barbara Otero, Ida Montoya, Emma Torres, Mary Romero, Minnie Barela, Dora Castillo; one brother Tony Garcia and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Garcia, parents Abran and Sara Garcia, brother Ramon Garcia, sister Josie Ruiz, and great grandson Aiden Cartier. Pall Bearers are his sons Robert, Jack, Eddie, David, Danny and Perry. To honour their grandfather, the Honorary Pall Bearers are Julian’s grandsons: Bobby Garcia, Aaron Lopez, John Michael and Edward Garcia, Billy Ray, Joshua Henson, Michael and David Garcia, Stephen Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Julian Castro and Timothy Garcia. We would also like to thank the staff from Vista Care that helped to make his last days easier. In the short time that assistance was needed for our father, we appreciate the compassion that Anita expressed to him. You were a blessing to all of us.
