Larry Palomino Sr.

Larry B. Palomino Sr., 53, passed away on October 21, 2015. He was born on January 22, 1962, to Deloras Trevino, in Carlsbad, NM. He married Elaine Ramirez, on February 27, 1988, in Otis, NM. They celebrated 27 years together. Larry was a great husband, father and grandfather to his family. His passion was working on cars, watching football, and having cookouts with the family. Larry could make anybody laugh, he would even give the grandchildren cookies when the parents didn’t want them to have them. He was the type of person who would help anybody in need. Preceding Larry in death are his grandparents: Jose and Maria Palomino; mother, Deloras Trevino; and brother, Danny Trevino. Those left to carry on his legacy are his wife, Elaine Palomino; daughter, Rene Palomino; son, Larry Palomino Jr. and partner Dominique Samora; grandchildren: Joseph Palomino Leyba, Bella Leyba and Genesis Palomino; siblings: Sandra Palomino and partner Jerry Martinez, Raymond Trevino and wife Susan, Linda Patton and husband Jason, of Carlsbad; Lupito Trevino and wife Clara, Frankie Trevino and wife Patsy, Lorenzo Trevino and partner Amber Ezell, of Loving, NM; Joe Trevino and wife Amanda, of Otis, NM. Also surviving Larry are numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, 1:00 to 9:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A funeral is scheduled on Thursday, October 29, 2015, 1:00 PM, at Church on the Move 180 Building. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Pastor Tim Aguilar will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Lorenzo Trevino, Joe Trevino, David Lujan Jr., Jesse Corralejo and Vance Haldeman. Pallbearers will be Lupito Trevino, Frankie Trevino, Raymond Trevino, Frank Campos, Benito Ortega Jr., Michael Ortega, Phillip Ramirez and Mark Lujan. A special thanks to everyone that helped with donations, car washes, bake sales, prayers, love and support. I’m Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I am following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss ah, these things I, too, will miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow, I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life's been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one touched.
