Linden J. "Lindy" Romero

A rosary will be recited for Linden J. “Lindy” Romero, 63, of Roswell, at 7:00 pm Friday, September 27, 2013 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Lucero, Jr. officiating. Linden passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013. Linden was born April 21, 1950 to Samuel V. Romero and Dolores Ruth Aldaz Romero in Roswell, NM. Linden retired from the Mountain Bell and Qwest phone company with many years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #3187 and loved his Pittsburg Steelers. He also loved to hang out in his man cave with his friends, loved his grandchildren and his dogs. “ Lindy ” will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 21 years, Beatrice Romero of the family home; daughters, Michelle Romero of Roswell, Letitia Benitez and her husband, Lazaro Jr. of Roswell and Heather Romero of Vail, Colorado; his sister, Duina Tanner and her husband, Clifford of Albuquerque; his brothers, Samuel Romero, Jr. of Albuquerque; Roland Romero of Albuquerque and Vincent Romero and his wife, Trish of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren, Marissa Torres, CeeAudra Mein, Ethan Benitez, JayLynn Benitez, Jasmyn Smith, Leroy Smith, SaVaughn Washington. Tia Blunt, Karma Blunt, Kya Blunt. Linden is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel V. Romero and Dolores Ruth Aldaz Romero and his brother, Timothy “Timmy” Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Martinez, Andrew Brady, Nash Sisneros, Joe Pena, Irvin and Adam Aldaz. “ How Hard This is “ Accepting that My Father is Gone ( I can’t ) Remember he’s in a better place ( Doesn’t ease this pain) Don’t cry, Your Father wouldn’t want to see you this way. ( But these tears won’t stop !) Now he’s with God and there Is no more suffering. (So why do I hurt so much ? ) I keep hearing, “ stay strong life goes on. “ ( Well I feel weak and don’t care about tomorrow !) I’m so full of anger, hurt, and regret. (Not given the chance to say goodbye, something I’ll never forget) I can’t, won’t, and don’t want to let you go ! (Hell, I don’t even know how) Dad I will forever love you, honor, cherish, respect, and remember the awesome Father you are !
