Louis Lozano

A prayer service will be held for Louis Lozano, 67, of Roswell at 7pm Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Montoya officiating. Burial to follow in South Park Cemetery. Louis passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at his home surround by the love of his family. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 from 10 am – 8pm and Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 from 8 am – 2pm at the funeral home. Louis Lozano was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 5, 1945. He was the 8th of 11 siblings. At the age of 19 he met and married his beautiful wife Adelina. He then moved to Roswell, New Mexico to raise his family. He was married to his loving wife for 48 years. After retirement Louis enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family. His friendliness and outgoing nature left an impact on anyone who met him. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He supported his four sons and was willing to face any challenges that came along. He often said that when he passed away he wanted to be the closest star to the moon so he could be able to watch over his grandchildren. His presence will be missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Adelina Lozano of the family home; his son, Louis Lozano Jr. and his wife, Erika of Roswell, NM; his son, Joe Lozano and his wife, Rosemary of Roswell, NM; his son, Gary Lozano and his wife, Patricia of Moore, OK ; his son, Daniel Lozano and his wife, Mercedes of Moore, OK; his sisters, Eva and Dan Urquizo, Julia Torrois, Hortinsia and Clarence Hall, Anita and Donald Hinkle, Olga and Lupe Hererra, Rachel and Art, Alice Lozano; his brothers, Canuti Lozano, Augustine Lozano, and Richard and Rosemary Lozano, all from TX. He lovingly raised his grandson Daniel Lopez as a son. His legacy includes 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Anita Lozano. Pallbearers will be Gary Lozano, Christopher Lozano, Erik Lozano, Isaac Lozano, Augustine Lozano, Andrew Lozano and Louis Lozano III. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Lopez. The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice for their loving support during their time of need.
