Lucy R. Sosa

On Wednesday, December 30, 2020, the angels came down from heaven and wrapped their wings around our mom, LUCY R. SOSA, 84, and lifted her to heaven after a brief illness. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Lucy at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Monday, January 11, 2021, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. On May 28, 1936, Lucy was born to Alejandro and Amalia Romero in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. After moving from her childhood home, Lucy resided in Roswell for the majority of her life where she made lasting memories with friends and family. She retired from American Linen after working for 25 years. Lucy enjoyed attending family events, playing Bingo, and was always up to go to garage sales. She enjoyed taking day trips with her sister-in-law, Virgie Romero. Lucy always enjoyed a cup of coffee, dropping in for a chit chat at every opportunity she had. If there was a dance floor, there is no doubt that you would find Lucy cutting a rug — always enjoying life to its fullest. Family was very important to Lucy, and she built a lasting legacy with a large family to carry on her traditions. The sudden loss of our mom has left an unexplainable void in our hearts. She loved without boundaries and gave so selflessly. She was a true blessing to our family, and we are left with an abundant amount of memories to cherish of her. It is no doubt that she is in heaven dancing, smiling, no more struggles, and no more pain. Our mom was the repertoire of ensuring that there is no greater love than a mother has for her children and grandmother for her grandchildren — she will certainly be missed.
