LUIS ARREDONDO- Luis Arredondo, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13th, 2020, peacefully at home with his family. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 76 years on Friday, 21, 2020 from 12pm to 3pm Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. On March 15, 1944, Luis was born to Cresenciano Arredondo and Rosa Maria Santillanes Ramirez in Durango Mexico. He moved to the United States and found himself in Roswell NM, where he met his Wife Rosie Rios Martinez. Together they enjoyed the lives of Rosie’s seven kids, while not biologically his own, he loved them as if they were. He along with his wife Rosie enjoyed five generations of kids and grandkids. Luis enjoyed camping and fishing with his wife and grandkids along with weekend garage sales. Luis was known for having a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawns. In his down time he enjoyed taking walks with his family and recycling. While being a man of few words, it was noted that he had a wonderful sense of humor that was shown with coworkers and friends. He instilled hard work and perseverance in his children and grandchildren that will carry on. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Survivors: Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Luis’ are his children and their spouses: Natalie Martinez, Mary Beardsley and Husband Thomas, Connie Villas, Patricia Botello, Slyvia Anaya and Husband Carlos, Cathrine Murry and Husband Jerry, 13 grandchildren, 1 sister, 1 brother and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded: Preceding Luis in death were his Loving Wife, Rosie; parents: Cresenciano Arredondo and Rosa Maria Santiallanes Ramirez; siblings: Rita Arredondo Santillanes, Dolores Arredondo Santillanes, Cesario Arredondo Santillanes; Step-son; Richard Martinez. Pallbearers: Chosen to serve as Pallbearers will be: Mike Ramey, Rudy Chavez, Horace Reece Jr., Tony Strobel, Nathan Saverance, Ruben Esquivel. The Family would like to extend a very special Thank You to Felipa Lopez his Caregiver for over a year Employed by Amber Care Advanced, Brooke Beardsley his Respite Caregiver, Kindred Hospice and their church family, Jim Tucker for creating the Slide show, Gerry Chavez presiding over the Funeral, and Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel.
