Memorial services for Magdelena P, Macks, 88, of Roswell will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home & Crematory with Henry Urquidez officiating. Magdelena passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at her home. Magdelena was born March 3, 1921 in Roswell, to Catarina Parras and Luisa Medina. She was a Chaves County Joy Center Senior Companion since 1989, and worked for Glovers Meat Packing Company until it shut down. Magdelena was a member of Salon De Los Testigos De Jehovah. She is survived by two sons; Bobby Alvin Macks and his wife Brenda of Roswell, Tony J. Macks and his fiancée Lydia Gomez of Roswell, three grandsons; Dominic Macks, Tony Jr. and Joshua Macks, Albert and Edan Gomez, four granddaughters; Andrea, Mariah, Jasmine and Danielle Macks, six great grandchildren; Merissa, Alyssa, Isac, Lyrissa and Elijah Montes and Sabryna Macks, one sister; Belen Juarez and her husband Danny of San Antonio, TX, and nieces and nephews from San Antonio, numerous famiy members and special friends of Roswell. Magdelena was preceded in death by her parents, Catarino and Luisa Parras and one brother, Manuel Gonzales. Humble – marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful. When we looked up the word in the dictionary we thought there should have been a picture of Magdelena next to it. Anyone who knew her quickly learned how Amazing and full of life she was. She left an imprint on our hearts that will be with us forever. We will ever so deeply miss you; my mom, my sister, my grandma, my great-grandma, my aunt, my cousin, my friend. So, we will not say good-bye to you today. We will say until we meet again. Rev. 21:4 Magdelena’s family would like to thank the CNA’S and nurses of Vista Care. To the Jaramillo Family, there are no words to express how much you all being there every step of the way meant to us. We would also like to give a special Thank you to Gloria Villareal.
