Manuel (Pete) Munoz

Manuel “Pete” Munoz, 38, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Please take a moment and share a fond memory or kind expression of sympathy for Manuel’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Manuel at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Mass will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Interment will be held at South Park Cemetery. On May 8, 1981, Manuel was born to Joe Baca and Sylvia Archuleta in Roswell, NM. He worked in the circulation department for the Roswell Daily Record. There is one of Manuel’s most memorable pastime that he would never forget and always talk about and took great honor and pride and joy when he would speak about it, and that was the FOREVER DREAM of his “Lowrider Bike” that he built himself. Manuel had many pastimes, good and bad, but there is another great pastime he had great honor in doing and it was when he and his wife, Yselia, got married, and it changed his life. Manuel had things he liked to do, and one of them was eating. LOL, he loved to eat food, especially his mom's tacos, although he loved tacos period. One of the things Manuel enjoyed doing with his wife was going out to eat on their days off. They were always trying out the different restaurants in Roswell, and they accomplished their goal and ate at every restaurant in town, “LOL.” Going out of town to view different attractions with his wife, Yselia was one of the things Manuel enjoyed. He most certainly enjoyed going to Carlsbad Caverns and the Carlsbad Water Park. Manuel loved doing several things such as working on the yard to make it look nice, going fishing, and watching his favorite Discovery shows like American Chopper. He had a big heart and smile that could lighten up the room. Manuel loved his family very much. His wife meant the world to him, and the kids were his everything. Manuel will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him. SURVIVORS: Manuel is survived by his wife, Yselia Jaramillo Munoz; children: Ashley Kylie, Mathew Munoz; mother, Sylvia Archuleta; brothers: Kelly Ortega of Artesia, Anthony Archuleta and fiancé Cassie Carrillo, Carlos Archuleta, Eric Munoz, Daniel Joe Munoz, Andrew Munoz; sisters: Naomi Munoz Rojo and Nadine Munoz; grandfather, Jose Jimenez Munoz of Artesia; along with numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, and aunts. PRECEDED: Preceding Manuel in death are his father, Joe Baca Munoz; grandparents: Willie Archuleta, Helen Archuleta, and Tillie Horton Baca, all of Roswell, NM. HONORARY PALLBEARER: Blessed to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Ernest Archuleta, Regina Villa, Melissa Page, Israel Archuleta Jr., Brittani Archuleta, Brianna Archuleta, and Vito Sosa. PALLBEARERS: Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Israel (Izzy) Archuleta, Mike Villa, Eugene Soliz, Tino Archuleta, Nathan Torrez, Gilbert Acevedo, Andrew Munoz, and Mathew Munoz. God’s Gift “You were my gift from God above to raise, to nurture, and to love. I knew that I was richly blessed, for God had given me the best. While losing you has caused me pain, my deepest loss is Heaven’s gain. Yet in my sadness, hope remains; because I know, we’ll meet again. And though my heart has yet to mend, the joy you brought me didn’t end. I see you in the hearts you’ve touched, in all the things you loved so much. When God took you, my precious one, He knew your work on earth was done.
