Maria "Mary" Del Carmen Villa

In loving memory of Mary Villa, 63, of Roswell, NM, passed away surrounded by her loved ones Monday, September 12th, 2022. There will be a viewing at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 from 9:00AM until 6:00PM and will be followed by a rosary. Funeral services will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 at 10:00AM with Father Jarek officiating. Interment will follow the funeral services at South Park Cemetery. Mary was born on October 9th, 1958, in Artesia, NM to Refugio and Manuela Chavez. She married her teenage sweetheart of CYO, Andy Villa Jr., on January 6th, 1979 in Hagerman, NM. She was a devout catholic and loved singing in the church choir. She enjoyed crocheting, playing music in a family band, drawing, puzzles and many other activities that involved family. She devoted her life to being an amazing and graceful wife and mother. She always put others before herself and was a great caregiver to others. She loved giving her husband a hard time just to hear him say, “Dollface.” Mary will be missed by her family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband of 43 years, Andy Villa Jr.; children: Amanda L. Sanchez (Mikey) of Roswell, NM; Andres M. Villa (Loretta) of San Angelo, TX; grandson: Mikey Sanchez III; siblings: Joe Chavez (Debbie) of Artesia, NM; Refugio “Corky” Chavez (Lola) of Albuquerque, NM; Pete Chavez of Roswell, NM; Ray Chavez (Refugia “Cuca”) of Artesia, NM; Pilar Aldavaz (Javier) of Roswell, NM; Cruz Ordonez (Hugo) of Fair Oaks, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Lifelong family friend: Rosemary Aguilar (Jose) of Plano, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Manuela Chavez; brothers: Jesus Chavez and baby boy Chavez; children: Villa twins; grandchildren: baby Villa; niece: Kristina Chavez. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Joe Chavez, Corky Chavez, Jesse Chavez, Andres Villa, Javier Aldavaz Jr., and Robert Villa; Alternates: Ray Chavez, Pete Chavez, Mikey Sanchez, and Fabian Villa The family of Mary Villa wishes to extend sincere thanks to Maria Chavira, ENMMC staff, Roswell Joy Center, and all who donated to Mary’s needs. In lieu of flowers, Mary’s family suggests donations be made to Catholic Relief Services in honor of Mary.
