Raul "Rudy" Sedillo

Raul "Rudy" Sedillo, 77 passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in El Paso, TX. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 9am - 6pm followed by the Rosary at 6pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 2pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On January 21, 1945, Rudy was born to Carlos H. Sedillo and Felicita Sedillo in Roswell, NM. Rudy had worked for Roswell Ready Mix, Creative Pultrusion’s, and Dean Baldwin before his accident that ended up disabling him. Rudy married Margarita on August 15, 2013. They had been together for 29 years until his unexpected passing. Rudy will be missed by his family and friends. Rudy, also known as Riler, when he was a youngster and played baseball, was one of the original baseball players that started the Chihuahuita Raiders local baseball team. He had so many trophies from his baseball years that he was proud of. Riler was one of the honorary team members recognized on the Hall of Fame at the East Side Little League. Anyone that knew him knew that he never held back on anything, he was who he was and that was it. Riler enjoyed building many things from doing carpentry, restoring and painting classic cars, fishing, camping, checking out cars, listening to Oldies, cruising, and drinking his Budweiser. He was also very clumsy, tripping and falling when you would least expect it. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Rudy is his wife, Margarita Sedillo; Rick and Rachel Peralta; Felicia Peterson; Rudy and Naomi Sedillo; Rina Sedillo; Roderick and Vanessa Sedillo; Imelda Natividad Villa and Cruz Garcia; Jorge Villa and Nicole Villa; Alvin and Kaytlyn Sedillo; sisters: Chris Duran and Kathy Carter, and Sally McCarter; and numerous grandchildren, great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rudy is preceded in death by his parents: Carlos and Felicita Sedillo; Richard Sedillo; Max Sedillo; Olivia Sedillo; and Grandson, Johnny S. Peralta. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Rick, Roderick, Rudy, Alvin, Cruz, and Little Rudy. Blessed to be chosen as Honorary Pallbearer is Jorge Villa Rudy's tribute was written in his honor by his family. "We weren't supposed to say goodbye this way But this is our reality You were supposed to come home And continue living life here on Earth with us, but I guess it was your time go. You didn't say goodbye And that's what hurts the most We just hope that you’re in peace and resting now. It's not goodbye it's see you later "fatso", Just don't leave mom completely alone, ok."
